Mack Mallard

Mack Mallard is one of the five main protagonists (alongside Pam, Gwen, Dax, and Uncle Dan) of Illumination's 14th animated feature film Migration.

He is the husband of Pam Mallard and the father of Dax Mallard and Gwen Mallard.

He is voiced by Kumail Nanjiani, who also voiced Pawny in Men in Black: International, Jay in The LEGO Ninjago Movie, and portrayed Kingo in Eternals, and Haja Estree in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Appearance[]

Mack is a male mallard with dark green head and neck. He also has brown feathers on his back and part of his belly, and with white feathers for the rest of his stomach and a white-bordered, blue speculum patch in his wing. As well as a bonus detail about him, three strands of small green feathers standing out on the top of his head.

Personality[]

Mack is best described as overprotective and cowardly afraid of the world from the outside and will do anything to keep his family safe. Even so he’s still the straight head of the family and keeps his family intact. After his adventures and the inspiration he went through, Mack has the confidence to make it through his migration journey and thanks his wife for opening his eyes to what he was missing. He also was willing to help others in need.

Biography[]

Not much is known about Mack's past or his childhood. His parents were never mentioned, possibly they might've died or left him, putting him under the care of his uncle, Dan. It was also unknown about how he met Pam for the very first time, maybe how they met in the pond during their years as younger ducklings or teenage ducks.

Powers and Abilities[]

Flight: As a duck, Mack possesses incredible flying abilities.
Intelligence: Since the beginning of the movie, Mack appears to have knowledge about the danger outside the pond.
Swimming skills: Mack has well-develop swimming skills for being a mallard duck.
Dancing: Mack, along with Pam, has unknowingly great dancing quailities.
