| ~ Madame Couture |
Madame Couture is the supporting character in the game The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes and she is the younger sister to the wicked Lady Maud, who is responsible for Princess Styla's isolation from society, due to being cursed into wearing irremovable ugly tights. Link can exchange Materials with her self-made outfits at the store she owns, Madame Couture's. An unnamed green haired boy assists her. She is very obsessed with cats and owns a ton of them in her shop.
Biography[]
Both Madame Couture and Lady Maud are sisters who derived from an unknown tribe that specializes in magic and style. However, their moral standing deviates as Couture is devoted to using her powerful magic for the good of the people of Hytopia, where Lady Maud had become power-hungry and even became exceedingly jealous over Princess Styla's beauty to the point where she sends a present to her with the intention of cursing her and Styla fell for her trick and forced to wear the brown tights which she could not take off. The kingdom of Hytopia were distraught and feared the curse to where they began to wear ordinary clothing, under the belief that they won't be affected. King Tuft sent requests for worthy heroes who could help lift the curse on his daughter. Those heroes turned out to be a trio of Links wearing blue, green, and red clothes and hair who answer their call for help. After these events, Madame Couture decides to help the Witch-Hunting Brigade, but she feels guilty about sending them after her sister and wonders why she would do such a thing and hoped not only for the curse to be lifted, but for the hero to save The Lady from herself as well.
When Link arrives at Hytopia, Couture's assistant sees them and introduces him to his mentor and calls him the hero they are looking for to solve Princess Styla's dilemma. Madame Couture is extremely doubtful that Link is an exceptional hero as other warriors have tried and failed to capture the elusive Maud before. She spontaneously changes her mind when Sir Combly recruits him and sends him to Couture to tailor him the Hero's Tunic and offers to help him in any way she can. Later on, in the game when Link returns with the Lady's Glasses from the Woodland area of the Drablands, she realized that there is some hope of breaking the spell placed on the princess and she admits that she is Maud's younger sister and gave them a tale that led to the terrible events. They continue to locate the Lady's Parasol and Lady's Collar as to be used to complete the Lady's Ensemble, an outfit that may break the curse and implores Link to find the Materials necessary in hopes that they would not have to fight Lady Maud directly and peacefully resolve the conflict.
However, the Links actually did have to defeat Lady Maud to pick up the last of the materials to complete the Lady's Ensemble. They return to Madame Couture's shop to do so, and she tells Link to head to the Hytopia Castle to remove the curse and restore Princess Styla to normal. During the ending credits, she can be seen with Link and her apprentice at the shop where she is petting her cats.
