The Magna Defender was a lone warrior and the sworn enemy of Scorpius. Prior to the death of his son, Zika and the destruction of his home planet he was once a honorable warrior who fought for justice and peace. After Zika's death and his planet's destruction, he became motivated by his vengeance and disregarded his noble ideals, vowing to stop at nothing to avenge his son and his home. Later in the series, the Magna Defender passed his powers on to Mike Corbett. Throughout the rest of the series, Mike was known as the Magna Defender when he used the powers.

Biography

3000 years ago, the Magna Defender fought against Scorpius after the latter killed his son Zika. However, he was tossed into a crevasse by Trecheron on Miranoi and remained there for years until Mike fell into the crevasse. Using Mike's body as a host, the Magna Defender reignited his revenge on Scorpius, even though his methods clashed with the Rangers.

Powers and Abilities

The Magna Defender can jump high at an incredible distance, he also has at his disposal the Torozord, a Throwing Dart and the Magna Blaster. The Magna Defender can leap into the air and performs an aerial somersault as he delivers an energized slash against an opponent with the Magna Sword, he can also throw his sword into the ground which generates a cube shaped barrier around the target. He can also fuse with his Torozord and grow to an enormous size becoming the Mega Defender, and can use the zord as his steed or merges with him to become Defender Torozord. Defender Torozord is a Megazord with powerful slashing attacks, armed with both a lance, or with the large Defender Axe.

• The Magna Defender acts much like the 6th Ranger of the Lost Galaxy series but is not considered a Ranger and is classified as ally, but his successor, Mike Corbett acts and considered more of a 6th ranger than his predecessor. It's kind of confirmed that the Magna defender isn't human. When he debuted, Magna Defender thought the Rangers were a threat to him from trying to stop him from trying to get revenge for his son.
• It's unknown if the Magna Defender as well as his son Zika were human or some other life form under their armor, as they never appear outside of their armor. It's possible that they're from a mechanical race whose armor are actually part of their body.
