Biography[]
Background[]
Makkari, along with the rest of the Eternals, was created by Arishem the Judge to get rid of the Deviants. She would eventually be sent to live on Earth, where she would protect humanity from the Deviants. She and the others (excluding Ajak and Ikaris) wouldn't know of their true purpose, however, as the Celestials used them to kill Deviants on a planet so their energies could go into a new Celestial, ending with the destruction of the planet. Though given superhuman capabilities like the others, she was given immense cosmic power to run and think at superhuman speed. In 5000 BC, the Eternals were sent to Earth on the Domo to deal with Deviants who were attacking humans. Due to being defeat, Makkari created sign language for others to communicate to her, which she taught to humans. She would also become close to Druig, and the two assisted the Eternals in fighting the Deviants in Mesopotamia.
In the 1500s, Makkari and the Eternals fought against the Deviants in Tenochtitlan, and advised Druig on how to deal with the situation as Phastos created weapons for humans to fight each other. After the battle, Makkari and the Eternals fought Thena, who was suffering from Mahd Wy'ry. Once the situation was dealt with, Druig decided to leave the group following the fall of Tenochtitlan, and Ajak advised the others to go their separate ways. While the others went with their lives, Makkari stayed on the Domo in Iraq, awaiting to return Olympia and started to steal numerous artifacts and objects over centuries.
Eternals[]
In 2023, she would reunite with her fellow Eternals and learn that the Celestials were planning an emergence with Tiamut, and she agreed to help them form the Uni-Mind to stop it. Makkari was tasked with finding the location of where Tiamut would emerge, and after finding it, she was attacked by Ikaris after his reveal. Makkari and the Eternals battled Ikaris and Sprite, with the latter believing that the emergence would make grow into an adult, and later Kro and the Deviants. The group successfully formed the Uni-Mind to kill Tiamut after Thena killed Kro, and Ikaris presumably died flying into the sun after regretting his actions. The group then decided to leave Earth to find other Eternals and tell them the truth, and came across Starfox, who informed them that their friends were in danger.
