Theodore "Ted" Sallis, also known as Man-Thing, is a major character of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, serving as both a mentioned and cameo character in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Thor: Ragnarok before appearing as the tritagonist in the TV Special Werewolf by Night.
He is a human being who underwent a transformation which lead to him becoming a monstrous swamp creature. He was captured by S.H.I.E.L.D., although he escaped and left Earth, where he eventually found himself on Sakaar and participated in the Grandmaster's Contest of Champions, becoming a champion himself. He eventually returned to Earth, where he struck a friendship with Jack Russell, a werewolf who wished to protect humans who underwent transformations from being hunted. He was found and captured by Verussa Bloodstone, although he was later rescued through the combined efforts of Russell and Elsa Bloodstone. Man-Thing later returned to the property to help Elsa by killing Verussa, after which he left in search of Russell, eventually reuniting with him in the end.
He was portrayed by Carey Jones while his vocal sound effects were provided by Jeffery Ford.
