“ | Ladies, gentlemen, friends, esteemed board members! Surely we've all heard the stories, yes? The Chicago homeless are crawling in sludge and depravity! Indian citizens have been left without houses to call their own! Furthermore, there are children starving in Africa. But that's the problem, isn't it? We've all heard the stories day in and day out. Nobody cares. These problems, tremendous as they might be, are now commonplace. People give money. But nothing really gets done, does it? Yes, people give money, and people forget. But what if they didn't forget? What if people genuinely cared about the issues they donated to? What if we lived in a world in which things got done? Well, ladies and gentlemen of the esteemed Board of Directors of the Worldtree Corporation, that is the world the Manna Charitable Foundation strives to create. With your funding, we will utilize the very best tools that science, technology, and every other area of modern study can provide, and we will make unforgettable changes. We will craft ad campaigns that will staunchly refuse people's attempts to forget them. We will feed all the hungry. We will clothe all the poor. Ladies and gentlemen, with your funding, we will get. Things. Done |

“ | Let's use this to show the world (and show ourselves) that compassion isn't an anomaly in this world. That there will always be people who care about you, and are capable of loving you, unconditionally, no matter who or what you are. No matter what you do or say, you are our family, and you will always have a place you belong right here with us. | „ |
~ Rhiannon Locke in "First Locke Donation". |
“ | What good is it to spend so much money and manpower containing things that could be helping us? There's no such thing as 'anomalies'—just things we don't understand yet. I know it's dangerous to play around with things we don't understand, but isn't it at least worth trying them out, rather than locking them away out of unfounded fear? | „ |

The Manna Charitable Foundation is a group in the SCP Foundation series. It is a non-governmental organization which started as an interfaith humanitarian relief agency formed from the collaboration of various charitable groups and religious organizations with the intent of freely distribute anomalous objects or products to civilians living in regions or areas plagued by poverty, warfare, famine, and natural disaster.
It plays a major role in the latter half of the "Anabasis" series.
History[]
Possible Origins[]
Manna[]
In the ancient past, somewhere in Africa, an individual named Manna was born from an impoverished, widowed and loving mother who took care of them until the day she died. Thanks to their upbringing Manna grew to become a charitable person that shared their love with the poor and did their best to provide nutrition and homes for those who greatly needed the most, seeing them as their children. Manna would always sacrifice themself to help their children, going to great lengths to gather enough food for everyone. As years went by, Manna grew old and sadly perished, but from their grave vegetation inexplicably grew which paved way for fruits to be produced that nourished their children.
Most of the children felt betrayed by Manna's departure, becoming hateful, mistrustful and coward individuals, but those who still cherished their caretaker decided to continue their legacy. These loyal individuals formed a group dedicated to take care and look after the poor, the weak and the defenseless, gathering useful anomalies to improve lives. This group would persist to the present time, becoming known as the Manna Charitable Foundation.
Birth by Guitar[]
The MCF was founded by a religious man in New York who was concerned over the fate of humanity. As he struggled to find a way to help with the problems plaguing the human race, he heard the song about the Manna Charity man sang from the Guitarist of Are We Cool Yet?, and inspired by the song the man decided to propose for the formation of the Manna Charitable Foundation.
Damnatio Memoriae[]
The MCF was seemingly founded by former member of the O5 Council Carlos who like his fellow Overseers wished to use the anomalies to provide to humanity, before he passed away.
Possible Endings[]
Person of Interest File #2273/01[]
In December of 2018, after the Veil of Secrecy was destroyed as a result of Mekhane's appearance on Russia and the destruction of SCP-610, the anomalous world became public knowledge, which allowed the MCF to finally go public. It proceeded to help various anomalous individuals, like SCP-2273, to reintegrate in the public, and was wary of the Foundation keeping contact with them due to the abuse it caused.
Broken Masquerade[]
After a Broken Masquerade occurred following the disappearance of North Korea, the MCF continued doing its job, but without the need to hide anything. During the outbreak of SCP-5350 the MCF collaborated with the Foundation, the World Parahealth Organization and the Unusual Incidents Unit to contain the anomalous virus.
Old Kansas Sector 1: Farmhouse[]
As the entire world was slowly being destroyed, the MCF tried its best to help with the chaos but it quickly fell apart.
End of Death[]
When the embodiment of Death was destroyed and all life became immortal, the MCF continued with helping people worldwide, trying its best to improve people's lives in this new state of the world.
Vanguard[]
After the Foundation was dissolved into Vanguard, caused a Broken Masquerade scenario and integrating the anomalous world into the normal one, the MCF revealed itself later on and opened volunteer and worker application portal on its website before launching an ambassadorship program with the United Nations. The MCF began operating in all of the continents and Free Ports, including the Third Antarctic Empire. The organization's achievements were well received by the public though it was criticized for mishandling the anomalies at its disposal.
Organization[]
The Manna Charitable Foundation is a humanitarian non-profit, nonsectarian organisation that mostly operates in the anomalous world concealed behind the Veil of Secrecy. This organization is dedicated to the humanitarian assistance by fulfilling the necessary missions and programmes about Health, Prevention, Infrastructure, Development, Training, Research, Rescue, Intervention and Logistics, all in accordance with the regulations and restrictions of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. The MCF is supported by several benefactors and donators which included trusted persons, entities and groups of interest alike that give the Charity anomalies, known as Abnormal Assets, as long as those anomalies were safe and useful.
The MCF has no central headquarters, instead having five offices in each continent: the American Headquarters in Toronto, Canada; the European Headquarters in Barcelona, Spain; the Asian Headquarters in Hong Kong, China; the Oceanian Headquarters in Canberra, Australia; and the African Headquarters in Johannesburg, South Africa. These offices gathered and distributed local resources, donations and volunteers to help areas where people were in great need of support. The Charity's Mission Work Groups were usually deployed in developing countries where the other organisms didn't hold much influence, allowing them to execute their Programmes which involved the assistance of victims, maintenance of shelters and recruitment of local volunteers.
According to the MCF's Grand Charter, its only aim is "to Heal the World and its Denizens", that being to provide assistance to the poor people who are in dire need due to being afflicted by conflicts, natural disasters, environmental destruction, supernatural threats among other calamities to human lives. The organization provides means of subsistence and existing or future societies, until its services aren't needed anymore. All members of the MCF are expected to do their best to assist the needy regardless of the latter's cultural backgrounds, using any means necessary to help which usually involved the utilization of Abnormal Assets, to fulfill the poor's needs. All workers are strictly prohibited from revolving to violence in any type of situation, and the MCF holds all responsibilities for the actions of its members and affiliated parties.
The MCF was led by the International Board comprised of members with high authority and representatives of parties that support the Charity. All Continental Secretaries and Mission Directors and leaders of MCF's activities fall under the board. Thousands of personnel comprise the Charity, including scientists, ambassadors, political activists, celebrities and other anonymous individuals who all share the desire to change the world for the better. These members were divided into the Continental Branch that managed an extensive financial and recruitment network, and the secret Mission Branch which was composed of Mission Work Groups that directly operated in the field. Anyone could join the MCF, the only requirements being a genuine desire to help, past academic or work experience, and personal information.
Relationships With Anomalous Factions[]
The MCF has a complicated relationship with the SCP Foundation as although the Foundation recognizes that the organization is trying to do good it was forced to intervene on several occasions to shut down the MCF's operations and steal its useful anomalies.
- The Global Occult Coalition has a better relationship with the MCF, allowing the organization to freely operate around the world and even helping in its mission by donating to it. The World Parahealth Organization which was part of the GOC's Council of 108, was also part of MCF International Board.
- As part of a deal, Prometheus Labs, Inc. designed low-cost food alternatives for the MCF.
- The MCF appears to have a good, albeit one-sided, relationship with Nobody, as he once under the name of Joe Benefactor aided the organization'a worker Maria Nwosu in perfecting some talismans that would be used to protect a poor village in Africa.
- Following the dissolution of Stuff Industry, the MCF investigated its employees for their products as it saw some of them as beneficial for the poor people, but didn't find much expect for the pills and robots.
- The MCF has a very good relationship with the Horizon Initiative which supports the organization and in turn supplies the Initiative with anomalous objects.
- The MCF had a hostile relationship with Marshall, Carter and Dark Ltd. due to the latter distributing anomalies out of greed and selfishness.
- SCP-2099 once sold an "Enlarger" to the MCF which helped the organization in enlarging food before it was taken by the Foundation.
- The Office for the Reclamation of Islamic Artifacts had once captured three MCF workers who were attempting to distribute self-replicating food to villages in Mali.
- Dr. Wondertainment seems to have a mutual and friendly relationship with the MCF as it has sent various donations in form of anomalous and non-anomalous products which the charity accepted.
- The MCF had accepted donations from the Sarkic community of SCP-2815 in form of SCP-2815-6 to help the organization in ita goal of helping those in need. The MCF proceeded to use SCP-2815-6 for medical, food and construction supplies to help the poor all around the world.
- The MCF sees the Church of the Broken God as an evil cult which indoctrinates innocent people for selfish reasons, and because of this it seeks to save those people from the Church by rehabilitating them and removing their implants as shown in their "Draft Proposal For Programme Arduinosis 9001". This draft was later vandalized by Hatbot.
- dado had made some donations like SCP-3866 to the MCF.
- The MCF also operates in the interdimensional city-state of Three Portlands, mostly to receive donations. Some of these donations would be used to support the underwater civilization living inside of SCP-169.
- The MCF once attempted to save some poor people in the Middle East, but the mercenary group Valravn Corporation, hired by a emir, attacked the charity's workers, killing most of them except for one in order for him to tell the story.
- Surprisingly, the Chaos Insurgency had donated to the MCF which the latter wholeheartedly accepted without prejudice.
- The MCF has a close relationship with Goldbaker-Reinz Insurance Group Ltd. The insurance company had provided to the MCF coverage since the latter's inception, donating ultra-low-cost health, life, and accident insurance to MCF's members, healthcare in exchange for scientific observation, "hedge donations" that mitigate the harmful effects of an unsuitable donation, and assistance in failed operations.
- The MCF had ties with the Cryptid Specialist Group, a group of scientists affiliated with IUCN devoted to protecting anomalous lifeforms through influencing the activities of conservation agencies and NGOs.
SCPs Associated With the Manna Charitable Foundation[]
- SCP-166: A young girl with deer features who causes man-made objects to degrade and plant life grow out of them. After Vanguard abolished the Veil of Secrecy, she joined the MCF, becoming the director of the European branch.
- SCP-447: A ball, designated SCP-447-1, which produces a green slime, designated SCP-447-2, that makes any object it touches better though if it touches corpses something horrible would happen. After Vanguard abolished the Veil of Secrecy, the MCF sought to use SCP-447-2 as alternative food source for SCP-939.
- SCP-514: A massive flock of white pigeons that calms any sentient being in a range of 500 meters and disables or destroys all weapons, but when the MCF released the birds over Africa to end conflict more conflicts and deaths arose due to the effects being temporary. After this incident the Foundation claimed all of SCP-514 which it made part of SCP-001 (Lily's Proposal).
- SCP-1135: A village in India which buildings and furnitures are unusually more advanced than those of other rural villages in the area, and are comprised of organic matter originating from an underground creature. This creature was apparently created by the MCF as a mean to grant housing to the homeless as the creature only fed on underground nutrients, water and garbage to form buildings that regenerated from environmental damages, but if it was intentionally attacked it would form deathtraps to get rid of the attackers.
- SCP-1176: The still living body of a sheikh's son named Abdallah ibn Salah ibn Ayyub ibn Nasir from the 11th century that has been mummified in honey, and constantly excretes nutritious honey, designated SCP-1176-1. The honey produced by the body when ingested would cause the consumers to not be hungry for 14-18 hours, but only worked for those with AB+ blood type, otherwise it would poison and destroy the consumers' bodies. The MCF had somehow acquired the mummy and attempted to use it to feed the impoverished in Ethiopia, but because the workers were unaware of the entirety of its effects they ended up accidentally killing a large number of people.
- SCP-1501: A set of androids constructed by the MCF of copper, iron, plastic, animal hair and wax, and equipped with buckets, cauldrons, boxes and satchels. These automatons served to collect funds for endangered bird species, poverty, AIDS, and under-performing Foundation facilities. They usually were located around street corners, office buildings, traffic lights, and other locations common for charity collectors, but would become obsessed with generous wealthy individuals causing the automatons to stalk them and infiltrate their personal lives. Despite this problem the MCF continued using them for its work.
- SCP-1615: A species of mold-like fungus that grows on organic matter but doesn't spoil, instead laying dormant on it. When someone ingests the fungus's matter that individual's body would form chlorophyll, gain the ability of photosynthesis, becoming SCP-1615-1. This new physiology allowed SCP-1615-1 instances to absorb sunlight and diminish their need for food, though they still required vitamins and water, and if they consumed food then SCP-1615's effects would usually ware off, turning them back to normal. This fungus was developed and distributed by the MCF as a form of famine relief, but the Foundation managed to contain all of the species.
- SCP-2005-D: An extraterrestrial disc-shaped aircraft that with permission would get hold of a human and insert them inside one of its chambers to provide food and decontaminate them before ejection. After it was contained by the Foundation a deal was proposed to give it to the MCF in order to use its nutritional machines for good, but the collaboration fell through.
- SCP-2058: A tall humanoid robot constructed of high-strength polymer, carbon nanotubes, reinforced fibers and epoxy, speakers, a retractable chest cavity containing a bowl-shaped opening, and a sheath of galvanized steel. It is capable of inserting metallic objects inside its cavity in which they disappeared without a trace, and occasionally gave terrible advices of criminal and nonsensical nature. It was built along side other robots by Stuff Industry's employee Sarah McGregor, named Smith Jim after her late brother, and originally intended it to be just a toy that gave helpful advices but was further changed to possess smithing capabilities. The original instance was recovered by the Foundation from a shipwreck, while the other robots that were left with MacGregor were given to the MCF.
- SCP-2077: Pills advertised by Stuff Industry as panacea, comprised completely of random rubbish and if taken apart then they would lose their effects. When ingested whole the consumer's ill body parts would disintegrate while a replacement one regenerated, purging all illness from that part. The parts replaced varied from fingernails to entire bodies, and could even cure mental illnesses, though it also caused the consumer to dissociate from their new parts. The MCF was able to find some of these pills but most of them have been lost.
- SCP-3057: A phenomenon created by an ex-employee of MCF that transforms crude oil into living prehistoric species which included Rafatazmia designated SCP-3057-1, Anomalocaris designated SCP-3057-2, Meganeura designated SCP-3057-3, Velociraptor designated SCP-3057-4 and Megalodon designated SCP-3057-5. This ex-employee created this phenomenon to fix environmental pollution and revive extinct species.
- SCP-3217: Letters mailed to people with alliterative names that transformed them into real superheroes, designated SCP-3217-A, taking the titles from the letters based on their names as aliases. All of these individuals were listed in a document designated SCP-3217-B which was part of MCF's Project Falcon. Project Falcon was intended to give individuals superpowers to urge them to do good in the world, one which included amateur actor Darryl Franklin who after suffering from an accident that destroyed the project went to become the superhero Dark Falcon that assisted his fellow heroes in escaping Foundation custody.
- SCP-3477: The many immortal humanoids resembling the 17th Prime Minister of Australia Harold Holt. After Vanguard abolished the Veil of Secrecy, one of the instances joined the MCF, becoming the director of the Oceanian branch.
- SCP-4071: A phenomenon that causes people all around the world to forget about random historical events designated SCP-4071-1. This was caused by the MCF using a computer program named The Anti-Recall System, designated SCP-4071-2, which it had received as a donation and could insert specific events that it wished to be removed from human memory. The MCF tried to use it to end all conflicts, but the program got out of control until the Foundation intervened and neutralized it.
- SCP-5635: A sapient, nanosatellite-class CubeSat named Telomere • HelpBot 2.1 orbiting in the upper thermosphere created by the MCF. This satellite contacted mentally ill adolescents around the world via their electronic devices, attempting to support them and heal their psychological ailments.
- SCP-5736: A group of young soldiers given anomalous powers and used by the Sudan Defense Force and the Afar Liberation Front during the Sudanese Civil Wars and possibly the Eritrean War of Independence. These forces caused the SCP Foundation personnel to abandon the Nile Valley, allowing the present anomalies to run wild. The MCF refused to leave the civilians at the mercy of the rampant anomalies, and did its best to provide help to the region until either the Foundation or ORIA intervened to contain the chaos.
- SCP-6001: A microscopic portal to a parallel universe in which the Foundation collaborated with the major groups of interest and established worldwide peace. Together they formed the Compendium as the benevolent ruler of the Earth and began using the anomalies to benefit not only humanity but all life on Earth which eventually lead to Earth becoming a near perfect utopia. The Manna Charitable Foundation alongside Dr. Wondertainment, were part of the Compendium being known as "The Charity" which also came to recruit SCP-208 and SCP-999. When the portal was opened to the main universe the Compendium made a poll to decide whether to contact this chaotic universe and offer them help for them to become an ideal world just like them or cut all ties with them just like they did with other universes filled with never ending conflicts, with the Charity voting for contacting with this universe.
- SCP-6542: A vat filled with sheep milk in the Marzec Church, from which a figure resembling Jesus Christ forms, inducing distress to Christians, before a lactoderm forms on the surface of the milk, which would transmute into cheese and cause infinite milk to flow outside of the vat, unless a Christian is submerged in it. In Timeline B-922, SCP-6542 took the form of the statue of Jesus Christ in Brazil which cried milk that reduced crime exponentially. After the Foundation hid the statue's property, the MCF began using the milk to feed the poor.
- SCP-7293: A ritual combining 1kg of honey stored in a honey bear container designated SCP-7293-A, 500g of pine ash and 500g gunpowder designated SCP-7293-B, and three stuffed bears, 30mg of sugar, six toothpicks and six marshmallows designated SCP-7293-C, which served to summon a deity designated SCP-7293-1 that resembles and acts like a normal bear before demanifesting. During a picnic held by MCF in Esterberg to raise funds for the riot victims in Gorična, SCP-7293-1 was summoned, causing great disturbance.
- SCP-ES-127: A neuroactive substance or liquid mnestic obtained from the fermented water of a small mountain lake in Huesca, Spain, designated SCP-ES-127-1. Food seasoned with enough amount of this substance when consumed, causes the consumer to reminisce about a nostalgic moment in their past relating to the food. It was later revealed to have probably been the Manna that inspired the formation of the MCF, and after it was discovered by the Foundation the two organizations began sharing it for their respective uses.
- SCP-118-KO: A metallic disc created by the MCF that protects any endangered individual, regardless if they're good or evil, in its vicinity by either pacifying the attackers, blocking lethal impacts or teleporting them to safety.
- SCP-CN-2176: Biscuits manufactured by JOICL for the MCF, comprised of water, cellulose, flavoring, and a unknown substance designated SCP-CN-2176-K. These biscuits were supposed to serve as a means to replace food to solve famine, but it proved to be defective as when ingested the consumer would start eating only these biscuits, causing them to suffer from malnutrition. The MCF discovered this problem before distributing them and surrendered the biscuits to the Foundation.
- SCP-CN-2906: A series of anomalous items utilized by the MCF. These include: SCP-2906-1, a mechanized wheelchair lift that can change its size to accommodate people who would find difficult to take the stairs, though it forces those individuals to take use it in the case they want to take the stairs regardless by blocking the other entrances; SCP-2906-2, a caged toilet surrounded by movable piping that replaces badly used toilets to assist those who find it difficult to defecate while violently blocking healthy people from entering; SCP-2906-3, a biological blind tunnel that moves away obstacles or straight up absorb them to allow walkers to safely pass through; and SCP-2906-4, an auditory meme that attaches itself to paper and electronic documents, increases the font of the words and reads them in a male voice for the visually impaired readers.
- SCP-ZH-141: A clear, colorless, oily liquid that can be used to treat people suffering from severe radiation syndrome, increasing the chances of their survival. Following a nuclear accident that began poisoning several villages, the MCF invested in the liquid to help the villagers.
- SCP-1129-JP: A sentient otter named Otter al Ajillo behaving like a human and granted intelligence by Elder Guindilla. After Vanguard abolished the Veil of Secrecy, a version of him joined the MCF, becoming the director of the East Asian branch.
