Marina is a protagonist from the made-for-TV Pokémon movie The Legend of Thunder! and based on Kris.
Appearance[]
Marina is a blue-haired girl with tan skin and pigtails styled them like a "W". She wears a light yellow coat, a red top, blue and black shorts, and shoes colored black, yellow, and blue.
Biography[]
Marina is first seen in a brief flashback where she and Jimmy got their Pokémon from Professor Elm. She makes her first proper appearance when Jimmy crosses paths with her when she was on the phone with Vincent. She also recognizes that his Cyndaquil evolved into a Typlosion.
She then lets Jimmy have a turn when Vincent asks to talk with him as he (Vincent) wanted Marina as a girlfriend. Jimmy turns off the phone and claims that Vincent wants to fight him.
Marina explains that Vincent sent her tons of stuff and told her a lot of other stuff. She also remarked that the gold and black-capped boy was also taller. Marina explains that she changed as well. But Jimmy does not find the change much.
She gets angry at him and asks if he could be any more of a child and if he finds her cuter and prettier ever since she became something of an idol. Jimmy then asks her if she was still going on about it. She then asks if he now makes fun of idol trainers.
She then explains that he might think it is great if she becomes famous. She then offers one chance for an autograph which Jimmy turns down. When she asks Jimmy if he thinks she is foolish, he explains that that's not true. When she asks if he is being shy, which he denies. But his Typlosion sees right through him.
She explains she never saw Jimmy anywhere until this point of the story. She also tells him he will be able to make history if he manages to defeat Lance, the Elite Four champion. In order to do this, he must level his Pokémon up. They proceed to do battle with each other.
She proceeds to send out her Jigglypuff while Jimmy sends out Beedrill. After Jigglypuff loses, Marina sends out her Croconaw while Jimmy sends out his Typlosion even though it is weak to water.
However, smoke and lightning start to emerge with Marina and Jimmy heading in the direction her Misdreavus went. It's when they discover Attila and Hun of Team Rocket capturing electric Pokémon in the forest to draw out Raikou.
When the Team Rocket duo proceed to use the machine, they've used on the other electric Pokémon to turn Raikou's electricity against it. After Jimmy and Typlosion's failed attempt at stopping them, Marina sends her Misdreavus to deal with the duo's Pokémon through Perish Song.
When Atilla tries to capture Raikou, Jimmy has Beedril wreck the mecha he was using. Marina then catches Misdreavus as it falls. After some struggle at trying to get Raikou to calm down, the electric legendary collapses.
Marina later reports to Elm that Jimmy was attending to Raikou's injuries.
