Mario is one of four protagonists of the three Mario animated series. He is a plumber having for brother Luigi and wishing with his friends to save the Mushroom Kingdom from King Koopa.
Differences from Mario
- Like his incarnation of the film/anime Peach-hime Kyushutsu Dai Sakusen! and some others, he wears red overalls and a blue shirt.
- Similarly, its fire shape wears white overalls and a red shirt, unlike the opposite in games, and sometimes yellow and orange clothing.
- Mario speaks normally and in full sentences, unlike games where he only proves a few words from time to time.
- He is shown as hating Bowser/King Koopa, frequently insulting him, while his gaming counterpart does not particularly hate him and is willing to ally himself with him whenever necessary.
- He sometimes fights with Luigi, something that would never happen in the games where brothers are extremely tight-knit.
- While in games Mario is not afraid of anything, his Cartoon counterpart has shown some fear, briefly that of water.

- In one episode, he takes the role of Moses.
