Markiplier is a rather kind individual who genuinely cares for the people around him. Mark's always willing to do the right thing, while there are versions of him that are villainous in alternate universes this is because he was corrupted in those universes. Markiplier is extremely kind hearted when not corrupted. In fact, after Mark accidentally caused the universe to reset and corrupted it, he begged the player to undo his actions. Mark is always willing to make new friends to help him along with the player. Mark often cherishes the bonds he has with others. Mark is very remorseful for his actions, Mark doesn't wish to cause problems for others and when he does he tries everything in his power to undo this action. Markiplier is always craving a sense of adventure wherever he is. Mark loves doing things such as heists for the thrill of it. Markiplier is often found doing things which can be considered mischievous. However, this is not for the sake of causing problems. The reasoning for Mark doing these things, is because he enjoys the thrill of it all. As a pirate Markiplier is somewhat egotistic as he sees himself as the only pirate captain that should exist. Markiplier will kill the player should they say that they know everything, which would imply that Mark has a somewhat sense of insecurity.
