Maroshi is the fourth Moonflower to be seen in Hanazuki: Full of Treasures. He is the oldest moonflower and guardian of a water-based moon whose ocean froze over and exploded, launching debris. Maroshi makes his debut appearance in Recovery, which sees him save Hanazuki when she goes derelict in space and an asteroid nearly crushes her body after another dislodged her from the Sleepy Unicorn's spaceship.

Character[]

Personality[]

A surfer-type Moonflower, Maroshi seems relaxed to a rather large fault. His biggest flaw is how difficult feeling concern is for him, and that, combined with his daredevil ego, could put him and/or his friends in danger.

Despite this, he does have a caring side, as he felt regret for abandoning his moon.

Physical Appearance[]

Maroshi has tan skin, blue hair that resembles an ocean wave, and green shorts. He has no shirt, and his chest contains a white triangular birthmark. Like Kiyoshi, both his arms have white bands.

Powers and Abilities[]

Like other Moonflowers, Maroshi can do the following:

  • He can channel his moods to plant Treasure Trees.
  • He can breathe in space, as shown when saving a derelict Hanazuki (who can also breathe in space.

Biography[]

Maroshi, his brother Kiyoshi, and their sister Kiazuki formed the Garlandians, but broke up when Kiazuki went missing.

After she gets knocked out of her seat in the Sleepy Unicorn's starship en route to her home during the events of Recovery, Hanazuki drifts off in a derelict manner. However, Maroshi arrives and saves her.

Upon his return to the Hemka moon during the events of Rescued!, Maroshi bonds with the Hemkas, and Hanazuki starts feeling a bit uncomfortable with Maroshi's sudden popularity spike. Maroshi explains his backstory and then feels regret a few days later, in Feeling It!
