Martinez Security is an organization appearing as the main heroic faction of the video game Ace Combat: Joint Assault.
They are a private military company that eventually became part of the International Union Peacekeeping Force meant to combat the terrorist organization Valahia, and later the Golden Axe Plan Private Army.
Overview[]
Much of Martinez Security's history is unknown, but it is titled as one of the major private military companies in the twenty-first century, and it is being one of the most recognized entities in the field.
Martinez employs personnel of many nationalities, including American, British, Swedish and Japanese, but is presumed to be based in the United States. It is also known to have closely cooperated with both American and Japanese military forces, specifically the numbered fleets of the U.S. Navy and Japan Self-Defense Forces.
Martinez possesses a vast arsenal of military technology, including aerial combat fighter jets, and its mercenary forces have divided into ground, naval and air force sub-divisions. The air force division is large enough to necessitate the use of airborne warning and control system operators. Most of its personnel are also comprised of former professional soldiers from various nations.
History[]
Valahia and Golden Axe Plan crises[]
After a joint United States-Japan military show was disrupted by an attack from the unknown aircraft, later revealed to be part of Valahia, the word of an assault on Tokyo came. Martinez Security deployed two of its sub-units from the M42 Squadron, Antares and Rigel Squadrons, to defend the city. The attack was repelled, forcing Valahia to retreat, but the terrorists struck back eventually. While this attack was also repelled, Rigel Squadron betrayed Martinez, swayed by the promise of higher wages by Valahia's leader, Colonel Nicolae Dumitrescu.
After the IUPF was formed as a counter-measure to Valahia's acts of terrorism, Martinez Security joined it and continued employing Antares Squadron to fight the terrorists. Eventually, Valahia's leadership was killed by an explosion in a nuclear missile silo they intended to use for another attack. Martinez, however, became aware in the process, that the crisis was masterminded by a European businessman named Andre Olivieri, who intended to use the conflict to build up his wealth and his own insurance company, and that he would target America next. Martinez Security quit the IUPF and resolved to stop Olivieri, who by that point already planned to destroy them as witnesses. Eventually, Martinez and American forces defeated Olivieri's private army in San Francisco and killed Olivieri himself outside of his company headquarters, putting an end to his schemes.
After the end of the conflict, Antares One took off from Martinez's base on another mission while Burford watched from the ground and removed his hat as a salute to Antares One.
