Martin "Marty" Atticus Deeks real name Martin Atticus Brandel is a member of the OPS team that used to work for the LAPD. Now works alongside Kensi Blye. He was an recurring character in the first season and early part of NCIS: LA's season 2.
He later on went on to be a main character of the series.
Personality[]
He comes off as a happy-go-lucky easygoing character which often likes to lighten the mood by adding one-liners. Unfortunately, this may turn off some in the process. When it comes to missions though, he's all serious.
=History[]
He first encountered the team on a undercover mission, where he picks a fight with Sam only to learn he is a fed. Deeks joins the team as Detective liaison and partners with Kensi, during a case he plays a major role in identifying a perpetrator who took Kensi hostage. He helped the team in saving Kensi and was complimented by Callen in killing the perp. It is implied by Callen that the team does not need a liaison but Hetty really wanted to recruit him. Deeks later told Kensi that he had to undergo an assignment but will be back.
In season two, he officially joins the team after they save him on his assignment. He is again partnered with Kensi.
During Season 5, he meets DEA agent Talia Del Campo who hints at an attraction.
