Mary Jane Watson (Spider-Man: Web of Shadows)

Mary Jane "MJ" Watson is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside the Black Cat) of the 2008 action-adventure superhero video game Spider-Man: Web of Shadows.

She is one of the two love interests of Spider-Man (alongside the Black Cat) and is one of the people trying to save the city from Venom's Symbiote invasion.

She was voiced by Dana Seltzer.

Biography[]

Mary Jane was injured during a battle with Venom, causing her to break an arm and be taken to the hospital. She recovered with an arm cast and was released a few days later, in time to call her boyfriend Spider-Man that she is good as new and asks him if he still has the black suit, when Spider-Man says he does, she tells him to get rid of it and she will talk to him and find her when he is himself again, later in another phone call, she tells him that S.H.I.E.L.D. is "closing" the bridges and tunnels leading out of New York to quarantine the Symbiote invasion; Spider-Man later calls her again to ask how she is doing and tells her that he is breaking the Tinkerer out of jail, MJ tells him to do what he thinks is right.

She later helps Luke Cage evacuate the citizens of Harlem but is unable to stop Peter from chasing the Symbiote Black Cat. During their fight, she appeared armed with a shotgun to help Spider-Man, when they defeated Black Cat, (in the evil path; Peter used the symbiote to heal her, turning her into a part symbiotic version of herself. Mary Jane, in horror, told the pilot to fly away), (in the good path; Peter puts her on the S.H.I.E.L.D. hovercraft to get her medical attention with Black Cat saying to Spider-Man that he really does love MJ).

After the invasion was stopped (in the anti-hero ending, Peter tried to call Mary Jane and apologize for his actions, but she refused to pick up), (in the hero ending, MJ asks Peter if he is narrating, then Peter gives MJ a swing).

Trivia[]

She is portrayed as the good counterpart to Black Cat as she loves Red-Suited Spider-Man while Black Cat loves Black-Suited Spider-Man.
