Mateo de Alva is a supporting character of the 2016 Disney Channel animated series Elena of Avalor. He is a master wizard who is the Royal Wizard of Avalor and one of Elena's closest friends.
He is voiced by Joseph Haro.
Personality[]
As the nephew of Alacazar, Mateo is very interested in all things magic: including spells, creatures or objects. He always tries to outdo him by learning about magic, but he is extremely insecure about what he does and therefore feels unworthy. But since Elena and her friends often need him, Mateo always tries his best to be helpful, he will set aside all her fears and protect them, sometimes whether they like it or not, with magic. her.
