First Lieutenant Matilda Ajan is a supply officer in the Earth Federation military and a heroine in Mobile Suit Gundam.
She was voiced by Keiko Toda in the Japanese version, and by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn in the movie and Sylvia Zaradic in the anime and games in the English version.

Matilda was an officer in the Earth Federation supply corps and often delivered supplies to support White Base in their campaign against the Zeon forces. When the White Base reached Asia, Matilda gave orders to its crew to head to Ukraine to take part in Operation Odessa, a large-scale operation by the Earth Federation Forces to take control of the Principality of Zeon's mining facilities at Odessa. However, as the White Base was en route to support the operation, they were attacked by Zeon's ace pilot trio, the Black Tri-Stars. To defend the White Base, Matilda rammed her Medea into the Dom of Black Tri-Star pilot Ortega. Ortega promptly retaliated by striking back and smashing the Medea's cockpit, causing the transporter to crash and explode, killing Matilda instantly. Matilda Ajan was listed as killed in action on November 6, U.C.0079.
