Matsuri Mizusawa is one of the supporting protagonists of Citrus. While she was initially an antagonist, Matsuri had since evolved beyond that point.

She was voiced by Shiori Izawa in Japanese and Kristi Rothrock in English. The former also provided the voices of Pochita from Chainsaw Man, while the latter also provided the voices of Hornet from Azur Lane and Ashigara from Kantai Collection: KanColle.

Matsuri Arc[]

Matsuri was originally the main antagonist in her self-entitled arc. She was introduced consoling a girl after she broke off her relationship with her boyfriend. However, it is later revealed that she was the one who had broken them up. Whilst alone, she glances over some of her old pictures on her phone, stopping at a picture of her and Yuzu when they were younger. Yuzu reunites with Matsuri when she and Harumi decide to go to an arcade. Yuzu is horrified to learn that Matsuri was selling pornographic videos to elderly clients online, and demands that she stop doing that. Matsuri realizes that Yuzu has some feelings towards her stepsister, Mei, and she decides to take it upon herself to form a wedge between the two girls. As they were leaving the karaoke store, Matsuri swiftly kisses Yuzu directly in front of Mei. In frustration of Yuzu bringing Mei along on a trip to the mall, Matsuri hatches a plan. She calls Mei to meet her at an isolated area where she accuses her of being manipulative and that she would settle for anyone willing to give her some comfort. In response, Mei kisses her, claiming that she had taken back the kiss she had stolen from Yuzu. While her initial plan didn't go the way she wanted, Matsuri blackmails Mei with the photo of her kissing her, and she puts her into an arranged date with one of her "clients" while she gets to have a date with Yuzu.

Yuzu becomes enraged by Matsuri's playing with people's feelings and slams her forehead against her own. While nothing happened between Mei and her "date," Mei informs Matsuri that they weren't that different from each other as like her, she closed herself to love of any kind even though deep down that was what she craved. It took a bothersome person to make her realize that. Matsuri leaves having a change of mind about Mei, and proclaims that all three of them could probably have a threesome together when they had properly become acquainted with each other.

Arranged Marriage!? Arc[]

After the events of her arc, Matsuri had changed her gears from having Yuzu all to herself to supporting Yuzu and Mei's budding relationship at any cost. So when Matsuri learns that Mei was to go through another arranged marriage, she rightfully becomes enraged, criticizing Mei for hiding something that grievous from Yuzu.

Chapter 36[]

About six months pass after the events of Chapter 35, and Matsuri had since become a student at the Aihara Academy. She spends most of her time trying to make everything feel normal for Yuzu who was clearly still distraught by Mei's abrupt leaving.
