Mavuika, also known as Haborym, the Pyro Archon, the God of War, Kiongozi, and Natlan's Radiant Sun, is a major character in the 2020 action role-playing fantasy video game Genshin Impact.
Mavuika is the God of War and Pyro Archon who resided over the nation of Natlan. Like all prior Pyro Archons, she was a human with a mortal lifespan rather than a god before becoming an Archon.
She is voiced by Li Ye in Chinese. In English, she is voiced by Katiana Sarkissian (who also voiced Angela from Marvels franchise). In Japanese, she is voiced by Mikako Komatsu (who also voiced Maki Zenin in Jujutsu Kaisen franchise, Yuzuha Shiba in Tokyo Revengers franchise, Setsuna from Yashahime). In Korean, she is voiced by Kim Na-yeul.
Appearance[]
Mavuika is a young woman with white skin and long red-orange hair until she transforms into yellow-orange hair and red-orange eyes. She wears a gold necklace with an orange gem, a black long-sleeved mini-jacket with gold spike, a black biker bodysuit with red and orange decorations and a sun zipper symbol, gold sunglasses, and black high-heeled boots.
Personality[]
Mavuika is a motivation and true potential archon. She hangs out with her late parent and sister while they die because she has immortality of archon. She protects Natlan for all time. She genuinely honors and cares for all the clans to protect the Natlan to defeat the abyss order. In the tournament, she decides the champion to defeat the abyss order, but they never give up and some are dead. She meets Travel and Paimon for the first time travel knows Archon they met. She meets Captino and he is trying to steal her prognosis and later team up with Fatui. In the spirit realm, she meets a lot of dead people who were lost in the abyss war including her family. She promises and protect Natlan in 400 years.
Biography[]
Unlike the other nations of Teyvat where the archons are legit deities, Natlan's deity, the Pyro Archon, is actually human who takes up the role. The Pyro Archon is decided by a competition known as the Pilgrimage with the one coming out on top becoming the Pyro Archon until the end of their life. The current Pyro Archon is Mavuika who happens to have been the Pyro Archon five hundred years ago. Mavuika fought alongside Natlan's original seven heroes against the abyss. However, they knew that the Abyss would continue to attack Natlan until it crumbles and they foresaw Natlan falling in 500 years.
As such, Mavuika jumped into the sacred flame, sacrificing herself to protect her home, with intent on coming back to life 500 years later to help prevent Natlan from falling, acknowledging the possibility that she may fail. To further this plan, she gave seven individuals from each of Natlan's tribes the ancient names of the original heroes. A few awaken to the power of their ancient names, but Mavuika doesn't tell them right away due to the risk that doing so would result in them being unable to awaken their full potential.
As the Pyro Archon, Mavuika upholds a duty to revive anybody who has died during successful battles against the abyss. She is unable to revive those who die in battles that end in defeat, and the ancient names in those defeats are lost forever, never to be used again. Following the latest Pilgrimage, a young Ancient Name bearer named Kachina emerges as among the victorious who would take part in the fight against the Abyss. The battle is a victory with everybody returning safely, except for Kachina who fell in battle. Due to the battle being a success, Mavuika should have been able to revive her. However, in her attempt, she is unable to bring Kachina back nor is she able to locate her ancient name. Concerned about this, Mavuika orders to have the Pilgrimage put on hold while also scolding two individuals who start spreading doubt amongst the crowd over Kachina being worthy, assuring the crowd that Kachina was worthy and that the two who would dare to disgrace who to come and say it to her personally, prompting them to back down which Mavuika also points out further proves their cowardice.
With the Pilgrimage on hold, Mavuika puts a rescue group together consisting of Chasca, Mualani, Iansan, and the Traveler. As the group work together to acquire Kachina's ancient name before entering the Dark Kingdom, Mavuika sacrifices her power to keep the Sacred Flame burning and even burns a set of relics given to her for such a purpose. As she does, she is visited by Il Capitano of the Fatui who demands her Gnosis. Mavuika refuses to relent and fights the Harbinger, forcing him to retreat upon realizing just how strong she is even without her power, although she learned that the one who helped them escape is from the Master of the Night-Winds.

- The Archons for Pyro are the first to have 2 genders (Example: Xbalanque is a male, and Cochanina is a female).
- Although She has a similar appearance as Murata Himeko, she's more likely to be based on Shakespeare Stigmata from Honkai Impact 3rd.
- The Traveler cannot resonate with Pyro until receiving their Ancient Name as the Pyro Archons' human nature have no ties with Celestia and are instead tied to the Night Kingdom, requiring them to utilize the Nightsoul system to be able to gain access to the Elements.
- Pyro Archon title is title that always being humans and they don't gain immortality after become Archon. Make them the most change title because title owner are still humans despite become gods.
- While Focalors/Furina is also human before become archons. They gained immortality from Egeria and Fontainians are not real humans but Oceanids granted human forms by Egeria. As such, Mavuika and the previous Pyro Archons are the only Archon to be purely of human origin.
- With Mavuika's appearance, all weapons types had been used by every members of the Seven.
- Mavuika and the previous Pyro Archons are the only archons to have actual parents.
- She was the first Archon/human to break the Teyvat sky's illusion.
- Unlike most Archon that have kits focus on being universal support. Mavuika kit focus on her personal damage with some off-field damage and support capability. Even more than Raiden Shogun. In fact, she wouldn't reach her full potential without at least 1 Natlan teammate due to her reliance on Night-Soul point instead of Energy for Elemental Burst.
- Mavuika is the only character from Natlan to have a Story Quest.
- Mavuika, along with Venti and Furina/Focalors, are the only archons with only one act for their Story Quests currently.
