Maxwell Smart, aka Agent 86, is the main character of the TV series and film, Get Smart. He is a skilled CONTROL analyst who dedicates his life in his agent training.

He wa portrayed by Don Adams and by Steve Carell in the 2008 film.

Personality[]

Max is a bit of a ditz who leaves a trail of disastrous accidents in his wake everywhere he goes. Mostly he is very bumbling idiot. However, he usually manages to come through and save the day through a combination of courage, perseverance, breakthroughs of intelligence and cleverness, and sheer dumb luck. In spite of everything that goes wrong around him, his reputation as one of CONTROL's top agents and KAOS' most formidable opponent is entirely justified.

Abilities[]

In spite of his ditzy demeanor, Maxwell is actually quite skilled at hand-to-hand combat and a very good shot. If he needs to buckle down and get serious, he becomes a force to be reckoned with.
