Maya is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Boomer) of the French-Canadian TV Show, Redakai: Conquer the Kairu.
She is the only girl of Team Stax and the only one who has visions, and the granddaughter of Lokar, who instead joined to Master Baoddai for the good side.
She was voiced by Marie Nonnenmacher in the original version, in the English version she was voiced by Jasmine Richards.
Appearance[]
Maya is a fifteen-year-old black girl with messy blue hair, the same color as the Dark Master markings in the shape of lightning bolts on her face and golden eyes. She wears a green tank top, with a red and white vest over it, and a black necklace with a golden accessory around her neck. On her right arm she wears a golden band and on her left wrist a golden X-Comm. She has dark green pants with markings and dark brown Siberian boots.
Personality[]
Maya is a very creative and talented girl, Maya is also the kindest, most caring and sociable. She shows that she loves reading and studying to get useful information about Kairu battles, which is why she is the most intelligent member of Team Stax. It seems that Maya is sensitive to many things; she shows that she has a tendency to cry or faint because of her darkest visions that make her dizzy. However, this is also due to the fact that Lokar, her real grandfather, wants her on his side and tries to have her. Maya is often the one who calms others down and is the most pacifist, she has excellent skills in the art of meditation and shows that she is like a conscience and sister to Ky. She usually keeps the calm.
However, Maya can also have a certain dark side, such as pretending to be on Lokar's side.
History[]
Maya was born to two nameless parents, who were forced to abandon her in front of Master Baoddai's temple due to the wickedness of Lookar, her real grandfather. Baoddai gladly took her when he found her in front of his house's door and raised her as his own daughter. One day Maya became part of Team Stax with Ky and Boomer.
