Maya Vie is a supporting character in season two of the CW show, The 100.
She was portrayed by Eve Harlow.
Description[]
Maya was a medical assistant who worked at Mount Weather and Jasper Jordan's love interest. Her feelings towards him made her see the truth about the crimes of the Mountain Men and eventually sided with the 48 to help them escape. Her death will affect Jasper for the next two seasons and tragically lead to his suicide.
History[]
Season 2[]
She first appears in a jumpsuit to sanitize a room when she is forced to guide Clarke to the mess hall. She is re-introduced by President Dante Wallace to Clarke telling him that she will not press charges for what she has done but remains visibly terrified by their first encounter. In the dining hall, she meets Jasper and tells him about all of the President's paintings that are there because there are no windows to provide an outside landscape. Clarke then approaches her to apologize and discreetly takes her access card. She then triggers an alarm and is about to activate a lever that would let in radiation that can kill all Mountain people. Maya then takes a gun and threatens to shoot Clarke if she activates the lever but security guards arrive and arrest Clarke.
During the 48's stay at Mount Weather, Maya gets closer and closer to Jasper and Clarke disappears. They also share their first kiss in an antique warehouse. In the following episode, Maya is exposed to radiation due to a containment breach and is treated by Dr. Tsing. Jasper agrees to donate blood to save her since he is immune to radiation. The transfusion is successful and Tsing tells Maya when she wakes up that Jasper saved her life. In Fog of War, Maya reveals to Jasper and Monty that the breach was not accidental and shows them all of the prisoners in the harvest room saying that she is afraid the Delinquents will be next.
When Monty and Harper disappear after Clarke's disappearance, Jasper gets more and more worried and Maya goes to check patient records and tells Jasper not to do anything stupid. In the Medical Ward she discovers Bellamy, unties him and watches him kill Lovejoy, a guard. After which, he puts on the uniform of the guard and Maya explains to him all the operation of the enclosure. Together, they contact Camp Jaha for help and Maya also gets help from her father Vincent. Later, she finds out that he has been shot and heads to Level 5 with other residents. There, she finds Jasper who kisses her before leaving to kill Cage under Octavia's advice. Unfortunately, Monty, under Clarke's orders, makes all the settings to irradiate level 5 and she and Bellamy activate the lever. Jasper then runs to find Maya who dies in his arms, telling her that "no one us is innocent".
Season 6[]
In season six, Clarke confronts all of her memories in her Mindspace, including those of Mount Weather where she had to kill Maya to save her people. She finds the latter irradiated in a medical bed, who gets up and confronts Clarke about her actions that led to Jasper's suicide. She adds more by saying that she kills more people than she saves and that she is not that different from the Primes. She then helps Clarke regain control of her mind and places an electric collar on Josephine for her to submit and Maya eventually disappears.
