McMurdo Barriston is the shady head of Teiwaz and a major character in Mobile Suit Gundam IRON-BLOODED ORPHANS.
He is voiced by the late Unshō Ishizuka in the Japanese version of the anime, and by Paul St Peter in the English version of the anime.
History[]
After Naze Turbine brought Orga Itsuka and Tekkadan to him McMurdo agreed to have Tekkadan be signed on as a subsidiary of Teiwaz and performed a ceremony to formally induct Orga into Teiwaz.
After Tekkadan made a name for themselves by safely escorting Togonosuke Makanai to Arbrau for the election and exposing Gjallarhorn's corruption, McMurdo met with Nobliss to discuss a business deal.
After Jasley made a deal with Iok Kujan of Gjallarhorn to provide him intel on Teiwaz and help him undermine Naze, his rival for power, McMurdo decided to have Jasley and his subsidiaries dropped from Teiwaz. Following the infamous incident where Iok used Dainsleifs on the Turbine civilians, McMurdo made a deal with Rustal Elion to not have Iok show up to assist Jasley in his subsequent battle against Tekkadan in exchange for not speaking of the incident. During the battle, Jasley called McMurdo and pleaded with him to call off Tekkadan but McMurdo simply told him that, as Tekkadan was no longer apart of Teiwaz, there was nothing he could do.
With the Turbines now dissolved, McMurdo agreed to take in the remaining Turbine women and give them protection. He also allowed them to form a new organization led by Azee Gurumin.
