MePhone3GS is a supporting character Inanimate Insanity II, the second season of the animated web series Inanimate Insanity.
He is a MePhone created by Steve Cobs that was assigned to steal eggs from the Light Shimmers alongside MePhone1 and MePhone3G so that Cobs can use them for his own personal gain.
He was voiced by Ben Cross, who also voices Balloon in the same series.
Appearance[]
MePhone3GS is a large rectangular phone with a smooth round border. His left side features his volume buttons and ringer switch, on his top was his power button, and on his back featured a front camera, something his predecessors lacked. MePhone3GS' screen is a greyish background with a pixelated face and a crack in the middle after his encounter with the Light Shimmers
Personality[]
MePhone3GS was originally a confident and kind leader to his fellow MePhones, determined to lead them to stealing the eggs from the Light Shimmers for Steve Cobs, and attempting to help them.
However, that all changed after a close encounter causes his screen to crack and his fellow MePhones to become killed in action, only leaving MePhone3GS with a single egg retrieved, as he starts to grow paranoid when he will have to explain the results to Cobs. His fearful and paranoid personality was cemented when Cobs tortured him soon after his mission, locking in inside a storage closet, where the next time he powered back on, he confused MePhone4 for his creator and begging him for mercy while panicking.
However, in "The Reality of the Situation", MePhone3GS still keeps his generous personality, when he greets Knife and Suitcase and giving them crucial information, upon them opening up the storage closet. He still panics over hearing the word "Cobs", and may sometimes have "involuntary reactions."
Biography[]
MePhone3GS was created by Steve Cobs to be his servant, and tasked to steal the eggs from the Light Shimmers so that he could use them for his own personal gain. MePhone3GS was sent to the planet, alongside MePhone1 and MePhone3G where he leads his fellow members to steal the eggs and make a getaway from the attacking Light Shimmers. However, one by one, both MePhone1 and MePhone3G are killed by the Light Shimmers, while MePhone3GS is the only one able to escape with a single egg in hand, while his screen gets cracked by a Light Shimmer's spear. Looking at the egg, MePhone3GS reassures himself as he travels back to Meeple Headquarters.
After making it back to headquarters where Steve Cobs finds out that MePhone3GS failed a majority of his mission, he tortured him and had him locked away in the storage closet to collect dust for the remainder of his days. Later when MePhone4 discovers him inside the closet, MePhone3GS turns on and plays past recordings before swapping to his face. In a gradual panic, he says "Please Cobs, don't.", before screaming and powering off. MePhone4's memory of that incident would eventually be disposed in the Gemory Cave, where Suitcase would eventually discover it in the episode, "Mine Your Own Business".
In "The Reality of the Situation", in addition to revealing MePhone3GS' past, Suitcase, when infiltrating Meeple Headquarters with Knife recalls that using one of MePhone4's memories, locates MePhone3GS in the storage closet to ask him about Steve Cobs. Upon entering and finding MePhone3GS in there, the two approach him before he activates and greets the two. After some discussion with Knife and Suitcase, MePhone3GS states that Steve Cobs only expects the best to succeed, with Suitcase following up that anyone who comes short of it will fail by his standards. MePhone3GS continues to explain about how Cobs wanted the organic samples, as in the Light Shimmer eggs, and was only able to bring back one with it not being enough. When Suitcase questions where the single egg went after giving it to Cobs, MePhone3GS states he is unsure of that as Cobs was furious with him and is what led to him being locked up in the closet. Upon Knife and Suitcase preparing to leave the storage closet, MePhone3GS begs them not to go, before Suitcase claim that it's their "mission." MePhone3GS gives them advice to surrender their mission. As the two leave, Suitcase makes a promise to come back for MePhone3GS after completing their mission, leaving him isolated once again.
