Megamind's parents are two of the three overarching protagonists (alongside Metro Man) of DreamWorks’s Megamind franchise.
They are the relatives of Megamind that are seen in a flashback at the beginning of the movie. They are responsible of saving Megamind of his planet, that was going to be absorbed by a black hole and sending him to the Earth.
Megamind's father is voiced by Justin Theroux and his mother by Jessica Benia.
Biography[]
At the beginning of the movie, Megamind reveals in a flashback that when he born his planet was going to be swallowed by a black hole. So his parents took him into a space pod to save him, they also took an alien fish that his son would later name him Minion and sent them away to the space before dying in the collapse of their planet. Soon after this, the spacial pod landed on Earth along Metro Man's one. Which would trigger the events of the film.
