Meifromarashinoyoruni
Mei is a goat and one of the two main protagonists of the Japanese novels Arashi no Yoru ni, also known as One Stormy Night, along in the film and TV series adaption.

On a stormy night, Mei became friends with Gabu but found out he is a wolf, however, they have a lot in common. The two met each other in secret, however, when their respective kin's find out, the two decide to ran away to another forest.

In the film, he is voiced by Hiroki Narimiya in the Japanese dub while being voiced by Akira Ishida in the English dub. In the TV series, while being portrayed by a female, she's voiced by Rie Kugimiya in the Japanese dub while being voiced by Terry Osada in the English dub.

Mother

  • Who attempted to save Mei from a group of wolves when he was a child, managing to bite off Giro's ear before being eaten. Though she is mentioned, she does not physically appear in the book series.

Grandma

  • Who raised Mei after his mother was killed, and is later shocked when Mei befriends Gabu. She does not appear in the book series.

  • The leader of the goats of the Sawasawa Mountains.

Mina

  • Pink-colored goat and a friend of Mei. She does not appear in the book series.

  • Overweight goat who acts as an elder brother figure to Mei.

  • In the books, Mei was never given a gender. In the film, Mei is cast as a male. In the series, Mei is cast as a female.
