Mei Shi is the lion protector of the Prodigious and the tritagonist in "Miraculous Shanghai".
He was akumatized by Hawk Moth into YanLuoShi, a giant supervillain that destroys any Renren he thinks is unworthy of the Prodig, but then he is come back to normal by Ladybug, Cat Noir and Ladydragon.
He is voiced by Nicolas Justamon in French version, in the English version he is voiced by Mark Chen.
Personality[]
Mei Shi is very strict and hard in his duty, the Renren suitable for supervising and wearing the Prodigious and then respecting and honoring him until another is chosen, so much so that he is also considered a judge of character.
He is also well informed, as he always knows what it takes to master the powers of each renling and having sensed that Fei Wu did not know how to master the power of Long Long, but he is also very patient as when he tells the girl without shaking the true worth of the dragon. After his deakumatization he was horrified and ashamed of what he had done when he was akumizato, who considered it a violation of his duty to him and was proud of Fei Wu/Ladydragon who now knows how to master the power of the dragon.
In his akumizato form, YanLuoShi, he proves aggressive, violent, threatening and destructive in an attempt to take back the Prodigious, he has even eradicated Hawk Moth who gave him the powers of him.
Appearance[]
In his true form, Mei Shi is a kwami-like spirit creature in the likeness of a navy-blue lion with red and green eyes. His tail is tufted and his mane is cyan blue with a whirlwind symbol on his head.
In the form of a statue, Mei Shi is a humanoid state in the shape of a navy-blue colored lion covered in black armor with golden markings and blue eyes, at the top of his head he has a cyan sphere and on one of his paws he holds a golden sphere.
In his akumizated villain form, Mei Shi has mostly the same expectation as a statue, except that his colors change to bright red, purplish black and dark purple and he is much taller.

- YanLuoShi is the third akumatized villain who disobeyed Hawk Moth, following Gigantitan and Robostus.
- YanLuoShi is also the first akumatized villain to temporarily cause Hawk Moth's demise, the second being Cat Blanc in an erased timeline.
- Both deaths were later undone thanks to Ladybug's Miraculous Ladybug.
- He is the second akumatized villain to visibly cause the death of many, following Timebreaker and preceding Cat Blanc.
- YanLuoShi is also the first akumatized villain to temporarily cause Hawk Moth's demise, the second being Cat Blanc in an erased timeline.
- He is also the biggest of the akumatized villains.
- He is the first and only kwami-like creature to have two forms, using his statue form to guard the Prodigious when not in use and changes into his kwami-like form when it is in use watching over each chosen Renren.
