Melty Q. Melromarc is a major protagonist in The Rising of the Shield Hero franchise.
She is the second daughter of Queen Mirellia Q. Melromarc and King Aultcray Melromarc XXXII. Although Melty is the younger sister, she is heir to the throne of Melromarc due to her sister Malty's personality defects.
In the anime adaption of The Rising of the Shield Hero, Melty is voiced by Maaya Uchida in the Japanese version and by Jackie Lastra in the English version. Uchida has also voiced Vermeil in Vermeil in Gold, Rikka Takanashi in Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, and Hiyori Iki in Noragami.
Appearance[]
Melty has an appearance of a girl, appropriate for her age. She has overall blue color scheme. She has eyes and hair that's blue. Her hair is bound together by two blue ribbons in two curly pigtails. She wears fancy frilly clothes that are also blue compared with different areas that warrant her royal status as a princess.
Personality[]
As a princess, she acts very maturely for her age. She is also more kind to people like Commoners and Demi-humans, and unlike her sister, she doesn't abuse her status as a princess. She also loves Filolials, which she inherited from her mother.
Melty is inspired by and deeply admires Naofumi, which may border on a crush, although one she doesn't indulge due to their age difference and knowledge that Raphtalia loves him, thereby not wanting to interfere with a friend's love.
Powers & Abilities[]
Water Magic: Melty's main form of magic.
- Aqua Shot: Fires a ball of water.
- Aqua Slash: Fires a ball of water that turns into a blade.
- Anti-Fire Quall: Negates fire magic.
- Typhoon: A combo spell with wind magic. It creates a giant typhoon.
Filolial Knowledge: Melty loves Filolials, like her mother, so she knows many things about them. She became quick friends with Filo because of this.
