Stop hand

Menō Historia is a supporting protagonist in The Misfit of Demon King Academy.

She was voiced by Ai Kakuma in Japanese and Kira Buckland in English.

Appearance[]

Menō possesses short green hair and eyes as well as elf-like ears.

Biography[]

Menō introduces herself as the homeroom teacher for Year 3, Class 1 following Emilia's transformation from a pure demon to a half-demon with one of the female students suspecting Emilia might have quit. Menō proceeds to announce the schedule of future events for the class with inter-academy being held in three weeks with third years being representees after having been in the works for a while. As there are members from the Generation of Chaos, the first-year class they will go to Arclaniska, Azesion's Hero Academy in the realm of mankind having received a rather sudden go-ahead.

She also tells some student that they will not hear of heroes before their third year and begins making preparations. She explains that heroes consisted of brave warriors that were leaders of humanity in the Age of Chaos and their Troop magic has an apparent similarity to demonkind's Gyze. When she asks about who knows what it was, Anos tells her that it is Asla. It is explained that Asla is different from Gyze in that the subordinates share their magic with their leader, but still is not enough to unleash the true value of this magic.

While Gyze uses castles it builds to defend, Asla was created to destroy them. Menō then tells Anos that he is correct and tells the class that there will be a Gyze vs. Asla exam in the middle of the inter-academy classes and mandated the class to do its homework. After a group of students collapse to their knees after being told a good job, Menō grants them an A for their effort. She also explains that Anos and his group of friends arrived ten days earlier.

She later joins headmaster Diego, who also in charge of the Jerga Kanon class, in announcing the inter-academy exams where she declares Revest as the representee for the Demon King Academy who proceeds to cast the demonization spell Nedra on a rodent only to find it not working. Anos catches onto the sham and breaks the spell used and turns the resulting beasts into a holy sword. The following day at the lake, the inter-academy exams begin with each academy forming its respective form of troop magic. When Diego sends his academy's elite class, Menō was about to send an unspecified team when Diego claims that it's too cruel to ask much on her students much to her contention.

Anos tells the bulk of his fellow students that such cheap taunts will not earn them a victory in contests like these, something Menō acknowledges. Anos has the group of half-demons who fangirled over him join his team to meet the minimum mandated for it. When Revest protests this, Anos tells him that he should consider exposing the enemy faction's strategy or it will bring a shame pile of shame. Menō then declares that they would win no matter what.

When Anos asks about Revest, Menō describes him as kindhearted and while he might be the top-ranked of third years currently, he started out an underachiever who looked down on the founding ancestor initially before becoming a royalist. She checked on him years back when he was trying to achieve combat-based magic and told him that the founding ancestor was the same as him.

Since then, Revest took pride in his own lineage. When Sasha only saw the hero academy students, Anos lends Menō his demonic eyes ability which leads to her discovering the holy water mixed in the lake and an endless supply of it thanks to holy gear followed by Ledriano leading his group to drain the magic holding up the demon king castle formed.

Menō then demands for the demon students to be saved or the hero academy will be held responsible. She even threatens a huge protest for not just that, but the re-creation incident. Just as Menō was rushing towards the lake in hopes of saving the demon student team, Anos tells her not to lose her head as there are limits to what demons can do. Menō tells him her unwillingness to wait and let them die. Anos then proceeds to use his magic to get the students out of the water. She then attempts to heal them only to find that they got stigmatized to keep them from being healed.

Fortunately, Anos is capable of healing the stigma although Revest rejects it as he was not willing to be healed by him. Anos proceeds to chastise him over this and Revest shows the school badge that controlled the water that sealed the magic power of the water that sealed their magic away. Afterwards, Anos heals the infected students. Subsequently, she watches Anos rid the lake of its holy-infested waters. Menō subsequently tells her students to take their positions as the exam continues. Menō later watches as the hero team get empowered by the ten million people of their country.

However, the Anos fangirl squad get their share of empowerment by love as well as the exam continues before Anos overpowers Lediano and Zeshia. After the exam, she learns about the threat Avos poses to the world and a clone of Diego declares the war against demon kind. Later Menō was saved from Rinka Theorness, Anos crosses paths with Menō again after managing to get her and the misfit student separated from the party they were with, she explains that the hybrid students were locked away to nourish the pure demons and that something about the false demon king must be done immediately. Anos explains there are two things that need to be dealt with prior, such as the masked demon who labels himself the Spirit King and Nousgalia who possessed Erdomaid. To be precise, he explains he needs to know where they are. The benevolent demon teacher agrees to look into the details immediately while Anos uses the ultimate time magic Revalon inside the treasure house ahead of him to find out why Reno died, to see if the Spirit King is Shin, and how Misa was created. Anos also realizes that Misa might have been born two millennium ago, despite seeming to be 15. However, to do this task, they need to split up so that the demons do not catch onto the plan. The male student that had been accompanying Menō suggest that he be hit with painful and flashy magic in order for the plan to work which made Menō feel concerned.

The student points out that they do not have any other choice as it would hinder the deception. Being reluctant to hear this plan, Menō hopes this does not result in it being for nothing. Anos proceeds to cast the spell on him but promises he will not perish from it. After Anos and his party retreats, the demon soldiers she was with arrive and Menō claims Anos went to the upper floors. The squad leader stops her from healing the student, claiming he can be revived later and has Menō come with her. This distraction enables Anos to reach the treasure room undisturbed.
