Meredy is a former antagonist and later became supporting protagonist in the anime/manga Fairy Tail. She is a former member of Grimoire Heart and one of the Seven Kin of Purgatory. Along with Jellal Fernandes and Ultear Milkovich, was one of the co-founders of Crime Sorcière so they can seek redemption for their crimes they commited in the past.

She is voiced by Saori Gotō in the Japanese version, and Bryn Appril in the English version.

Appearance

In X784, Meredy was a small young girl with short pink hair, also wearing a gold wing-like headgear around her ears. She has bright green eyes (but is pink in the anime). She wore a tight, purple leotard uniform with brownish thigh-high boots that have white stripes at the top. She also wore a red cape that had golden lining around the edges of her cape over her uniform. On the left-shoulder on her cape has a white symbol of Grimoire Heart.

As she got older in X791, she has grown taller and has more of a curvaceous body. Her hair also got long, having a wavy ponytail that reaches down to the middle of her back. She wears a dark brown set of earmuffs. Her dress is red with a golden trim around a deep necklace that exposes a large amount of her cleavage with a short skirt and a belt with a yellow ribbon tied around her waist and black colored stockings with brown boots.

Personality

When a member of Grimoire Heart, Meredy often came off as mature and calm to the point of stoicism. She seemed to be emotionless at the time, usually giving speeches to her enemies that were somewhat robotic, pausing between words and referring her missions to "exterminate" and "annihilate" her enemies as the "prime directive", and even assigned the Fairy Tail members in order of which ones she would like to kill. She also seems to be very cocky in battle, referring those whom she considers weak as trash.

Her actual personality is more childlike compared to the other members of Grimoire Heart. She got quickly excited when she saw the island was in view, but did seem to lack self confidence after Ultear scolded her, she then hung her head down and looked ashamed. She got frightened and curious and when saw Makarov Dreyar for the first time in his giant form.

Meredy seems to have a good heart with an immense amount of passion and resolve. She really cares about Ultear, showing an amount of hatred for Gray Fullbuster for making Ultear cry, since she thought he was the reason for Ur's death (even though she sacrificed herself to save Gray's live), and even willing to kill herself for Ultear's sake.

After the timeskip and becoming a co-founder of Crime Sorcière, Meredy developed to be more modest and cheerful, making her much happier. When seeing Juvia again after seven years, she kindly greeted her with a smile. She has also developed a witty sense of humor according to Juvia, such as teasing Gray and Lucy with the Sensory Link, and the time when Jellal lied to Erza about having a fiancé.
