Lady Mereoleona Vermillion is a supporting character in the 2015 fantasy manga series Black Clover and its 2017 anime television series adaptation of the same name, and a major character in the 2023 spin-off anime film Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King.
Mereoleona Vermillion was a noblewoman of the Clover Kingdom's royal House Vermillion and the elder sister of Fuegoleon and Leopold Vermillion. A wielder of potent Fire Magic, Vermillion was heralded as the "Uncrowned Undefeated Lioness" due to her immense combat prowess and flawless victory record. She was also a candidate to become the twenty-ninth Wizard King and the former captain of the Crimson Lions Magic Knight Squad.
Vermillion is voiced by Junko Minagawa in Japanese and by Monica Rial in English. Minagawa has also voiced Sailor Uranus in Sailor Moon. Rial has also voiced Bulma in Dragon Ball, Tsuyu Asui in My Hero Academia, and Tanya von Degurechaff in The Saga of Tanya the Evil.

Mereoleona is a woman with long, wavy vermilion hair and blue eyes. She has red circles around her eyes, just like her brothers, and she has a single, prominent canine tooth.
Mereoleona is dressed in a long dark blue shirt with a high collar and long sleeves over a white tunic. She maintains the sleeves rolled up to her elbows, and the shirt's neckline, edges, and sleeves are all embellished with vertical striped cloth. She ties a purple sash around her waist to hold the shirt in place. Her pants are white. She is dressed, and a big crimson cape is worn on top.
Personality[]
Mereoleona has a short temper and an aggressive attitude. She is a boisterous, assertive lady who thinks actions speak louder than words. Mereoleona exhibits a profound awareness of motivating people, even those she has just met, in spite of this. She does not pass judgment on others based on their background or upbringing and respects those who are eager to get stronger.
Mereoleona exhibits ferocious and powerful behavior. Characters such as Yami Sukehiro, attempted to flee as soon as he found out Mereoleona was in Black Bulls base, Noelle Silva, who became extremely agitated by her presence, and Zora Ideale, who referred to Mereoleona as a wild and uncontrollable beast, are all afraid of her because she can be quite intimidating. Fighting formidable foes is something Mereoleona relishes, especially when she can use all of her strength. In fact, she becomes more thrilled the more surrounded and outmatched she feels. She has gained the title of "Uncrowned Undefeated Lioness" thanks to this and her undying drive.

- Magic: Every living being in the world possessed a supply of mana, an internal energy source that replenished naturally overtime that could be used to cast magic. Most mages, regardless of talent or power, were only capable of using one type of magic which was naturally assigned to them at birth as a "magic attribute." Using a special book known as a "grimoire" mages were able to cast magic spells, specific applications of magic with greater power and/or effectiveness. The quantity of magic spells that could be cast and their power were both determinate on how much mana a mage naturally possessed, as well as how practised they were at performing their spells. Mereoleona Vermillion, as a member of the royal bloodline, naturally possessed a far greater amount of mana than an average individual. Even among royals, the amount and quality of her mana was exceptional.
- Pyrokinesis: Like her siblings, Mereoleona Vermillion's magic attribute was "flame magic." Fire was one of the four major elements of mana and, as its name implied, flame magic allowed the user to conjure and manipulate fire. Usually, she formed a lion's paw out of the fire.

- Master of Hand-to-Hand Combat: Mereoleona is a very proficient hand-to-hand fighter who can quickly defeat any opponent she faces. She is not so much a wizard as a combatant, as Zora Ideale observes. She uses it as her primary fighting technique and occasionally combines her magic skills with her hand-to-hand skills for more lethal blows. Princia Funnybunny also believed that Mereoleona was too strong for her in a fistfight.
