The Metkayina Clan is the oceanic Na'vi clan introduced in the 2022 from Avatar: The Way of Water. They are the largest of the over 50 reef clans. It is led by Tonowari and Ronal, who live in the clan's main village, Awa'atlu. Recently, Jake Sully and his family were integrated into the clan after they left the Omatikaya clan.

Biology[]

Unlike the Omatikaya Navi, the clan having more cyan-colored skin instead of midnight blue. Their forearms and lower legs included fin-like structure known as a 'strake', and the tails are broadened more than the Omatikaya. Their eyes are enlarged and feature a blue or green color rather than yellow,

The Metkayina also have a close relationship with tulkuns, with Ronal and Ro'a became spiritual sisters with one another. When her sister was killed, Ronal was furious and demanded retribution against the RDA for killing Roa and her calf. Additionally, the Metkayina use ilu as their steeds similar to the Omatikaya's bonds with direhorse. During combat, skilled hunters of the Metkayina grew accustomed to riding the skimwing.
