Micro Chips is a supporting character in My Little Pony: Equestria Girls series.
He is a tech scholar, works on PCs and has great friends who help him. He appears in all of the films in the series, and also socializes with Sunset Shimmer after changing.
He is played by James Kirk.
History
Equestria Girls
He is first seen in the Canterlot High school cafeteria, with Fluttershy talking to Twilight about the competition for the crown and identifying him as one of the "techies" " of the school.
During the "Cafeteria Song" he shoots a video about the music and dance the girls are doing for encouragement to win the crown. Later he is seen at Fall Formal recording Flash Sentry with audio.
Rainbow Rocks
He falls victim to the musical magic of Darlzing and all the CHS students are against them, but in the end he comes to his senses and becomes who he was.
Friendship Games
He has to compete with the guys from Crystal Preps along with his mates and teams up with Sandalwood to build birdhouses.
Legend of Everfree
He goes to Everfree camping with his friends for a week in nature.
Equestria Girls: Rollercoaster of Friendship
Here his name is mentioned for the first time, he was hired by Vignette Valencia to do the "Caramel Apple Girl" because of his "cool nerd chic".
Vignette later uses her magical cell phone to carry him to a white room with the others only to then go out right away because she says he's not "as cool nerd as she thought".
