“ | Yeah! That's why I love wrestling. | „ |
~ Haggar's victory quote |
Michael Duncan "Mike" Haggar, or referred shortly known as Haggar, is a main protagonist from the canonical Final Fight series, an ally in Namco X Capcom and a playable character in lesser-known Slam Masters series. He is a mayor of Metro City and vigilante who loves mastering the rough art of wrestling and protect the community from the criminal activities of Mad Gear Gang and their leader Belger (his replacement Retu in the sequel) as their great threats, together with both Guy and Cody, who are aware of that case and later playable in occurances of Street Fighter installments.
Though he doesn't appeared as a playable hero yet in Street Fighter series of head-to-head fighting video games, he has a role in the flashbacks of his fellow, respective friends Guy and Cody. He has many cameo appearances in some Street Fighter stages and in several character sequences. After a long time since he would not be playable, Mike Haggar also became playable at first in Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds.
