Miles Shaw is a supporting character in season five and six of the CW show, The 100.
He was portrayed by Jordan Bolger.
Description[]
Shaw was a pilot who unwittingly participated in the Prisoners uprising led by Diyoza and McCreary to take control of Eligius IV. On Earth, he revealed his deep leap by allying and helping Spacekru and Wonkru defeat McCreary and his men and also become Raven's new boyfriend.
History[]
Season 5[]
Shaw first appears when the Eligius Prisoners land on Earth aboard the Gagarin. There, he captures Clarke with Diyoza and tensions quickly mount when McCreary wants to kill her and Madi, while Shaw just wants to question them. Later, he notices that Raven has hacked into the Eligius IV's computer system and unsuccessfully attempts to fix the problem.
Then, aboard the Gagarin, he was ordered to bomb Wonkru, in the middle of the desert, much to his desolation. After which, he has to launch the missiles at the bunker and attack the Octavia clan, but Shaw cannot, saying that Raven also blocked the launch codes. While the latter is tortured by McCreary, Shaw threatens to shoot her if he does not leave him alone with her to question her. The prisoner then comes out and Murphy joins the two until Shaw reveals that he was the one who blocked the codes and that they can trust him. Unfortunately, his betrayal comes to light because of Echo and an electroshock collar is placed around his neck for him to be watched over. The item is quickly deactivated by Emori when Murphy initiates a battle between Diyoza and McCreary's men, creating a diversion. He later saves Spacekru who was ambushed by the Prisoners of McCreary, and in the evening, Raven kisses Shaw, revealing her love for him.
During a diversion to let Wonkru go to the Valley, Shaw and Raven are captured and brutally tortured following Kane and Diyoza's betrayal. Eventually, Raven accepts to pilot the Gagarin despite Shaw's protests. When McCreary learns that he won't have the valley, he launches missiles that will wipe out Earth but is killed shortly after by Clarke. With Raven, Shaw takes off the ship and sets off on the Eligius IV. On board, he confirms that cryogenic sleep is the only way to wait until the Earth becomes habitable again, which he and the other survivors are doing.
Season 6[]
Shaw is one of the few awakened by Clarke and Bellamy to listen to the recordings of Monty and Harper on the discovery of Planet Alpha. Raven, devastated by their deaths, is comforted by Shaw who tells her that it sounds cool to spend a peaceful life with someone you care about. Along with Clarke, Bellamy, Murphy, Emori, Jackson, Miller and Echo, he pilots the Gagarin to visit this new planet. On the spot, the night, he tells Clarke to do better with actions instead of blustering words. The group is then attacked by a swarm of insects and Shaw accidentally rushes into Sanctum's radiation shield, fatally injuring him. He gives Clarke the code to deactivate the barriers and allow the others to pass. After which, he asks the others to tell Raven that she deserves to be happy and dies from his injuries.
In the next episode, Raven sadly discovers Shaw's grave when a second group arrives on the planet.
