Mimimi is a recurring supporting protagonist of The Doraemons, a spin-off manga and anime movie special series of Doraemon, appearing in the special The Puzzling Challenge Letter of the Mysterious Thief Dorapan and the prequel chapter The Mysterious Thief Dorapan. She is an aristocratic girl who is Dorapin's lover.

She was voiced by Rei Sakuma, who also voiced Shizuka Minamoto and the Mini-Doras.

Appearance[]

Mimimi is a young, beautiful girl with a small stature, blonde hair, fair skin and dark blue eyes. She wears a pink bow on the back of her hair, and pink dress with white and light green sections. On her neck, she wears a red collar, which is actually Dr. Achimoff's invention to put her life at bay. She would be freed of this collar when Dorapin destroys Achimoff's button that can tighten it. Strangely enough, in the prequel chapter, she already has this collar even before meeting Dorapin, though this might be an error on the artist's part.

Personality[]

Mimimi is the embodiment of a kind-hearted girl, who always believes in the best of people. It is due to this that she can use her family's magical orb, as it's only accessible to good people. Knowing Dorapin's true nature as a person who takes from the rich and gives to the poor, she always defends him and convinces others about his true golden heart. She also constantly asks Dorapin to stop listening to Dr. Achimoff, knowing that the latter would break his promise of freeing her, even though she knows Achimoff may kill her in the process, showing her more brave side. And despite Dorapin having to leave due to being chased by the police, Mimimi promises to wait for him.

Ever since they meet, Mimimi has become a good friend with Dora-rinho, and doesn't seem to be bothered by his forgetfulness at all.

History[]

In The Mysterious Thief Dorapan, after Dorapin is injured by the Duke of Monaco's men when he's trying to take back a jewel that the latter has stolen from the National Museum so he can use the prize money for the poor, Mimimi rescues him and nurses him back to health, and learns that he actually takes from the rich and gives it to the poor, rather than being a serial thief that many believe. When Dorapin is complaining about his dorayaki not having cheese inside, Mimimi reveals her family's magical orb that can transform things at the owner's will, and transform the dorayaki into one of cheese. Just then the Duke of Monaco, piloting a gigantic robot, kidnaps Mimimi and has her dog shot, as well as taking back the jewel before leaving. Dorapin then heals the dog (who's actually a robot too), and the two go to rescue Mimimi.

At the time, the Duke of Monaco is thinking about using Mimimi's orb, which he has taken with her, to transform things to gold and become the richest man in the world, but Mimimi reveals that the orb is useless to evil people. Dorapin, disguising himself as the Duke's right-hand man, then takes back the orb and rescues her. The Duke attempts to escape in his giant robot, and Dorapin alongside Mimimi chase him. The Duke attempts to kill them, but Dorapin uses the orb to transform his robot into garbages, causing the Duke to fall into his palace, where the police arrest him.

Afterwards, Mimimi gives Dorapin the orb so he can continue his noble quest.

In The Puzzling Challenge Letter of the Mysterious Thief Dorapan, it's revealed that at some point, Mimimi is kidnapped and imprisoned by Dr. Achimoff, who places a collar on her neck that would choke her to death if he pushed the button on his golden tooth, so he can blackmail Dorapin into his service. Achimoff then orders Dorapin to take the Doraemons' cards to activate his machine to take over the world. Dorapin succeeds, but Dora Med and Dora-rinho escape.

Upon going into the tower where Mimimi is imprisoned, Dora-rinho meets her, who explains Dorapin's story to him. Just then Dorapin, disguising as Doraemon, appears and pretends to beg Rinho to take his card out. Rinho, having forgotten that the real Doraemon has been turned into a statue, complies and is subsequently turned into a statue as a result. Dora Med arrives in time to see it, and angrily turns into a giant and chases Dorapin and Mimimi into Achimoff's lair. There, Achimoff orders Dorapin to turn Med into statue while choking Mimimi to blackmail him. Having no choice, Dorapin complies.

Afterwards, Dorapin asks Achimoff to release Mimimi, to which the mad scientist reveals to be a lie and taunts Dorapin for believing him. Angered, Dorapin uses a card that Med gave him earlier to forcefully take Achimoff's golden tooth that contains the button and destroys it, freeing Mimimi while Achimoff flees. Dorapin then turns the Doraemons back to normal, but Achimoff throws them all into vacuum space, but they all survived thanks to the Doraemons' gadgets. Dorapin then tells Edo, Dora the Kid's horse friend, to take Mimimi to safety while he and the Doraemons fight Achimoff's robots. After successfully defeating Achimoff, they all return to Earth and celebrate while watching Achimoff being arrested by the police. Unfortunately, the police recognize Dorapin's presence, forcing him to flee. Mimimi and the Doraemons then bid a goodbye to him, knowing that they will reunite someday.
