Minamo Sorano (空野 みなも, Sorano Minamo?), also known as Princess Ripple (プリンセス・リップル, Purinsesu Rippuru?), is one of three main protagonists of the 2025 anime series Princession Orchestra.
She is voiced by Azusa Aoi.
Biography[]
Before she could prepare to go home once the school is over, Minamo got rashly dragged away by her best friend Natsu because she wanted to get quick before the live show on Alicepia starts. When she got back home, Minamo declined her brother Riku's offer to play Bokusuka Families with him and went back up to her room where she enters a digital world named Alicepia through Alicepia channel app.
After entering Alicepia and meet up with Natsu, they later went to attend their schoolmates Kagari Shirube's live show where she's performing Starlight. When a group of monsters named Jamaock were sent to attack and terrorize the live stage by Bess, both Minamo and Natsu witnessing Kagari transformed into Princess Zeal and single-handedly fought the rest of Jamaock.
The next morning, both Minamo and Natsu were on their way to school while discussing about what happened last night and about the Princesses as well. After discovering that Kagari is pretty much fine after last night, Minamo promised she'll be cheering on Natsu to keep on supporting her dreams of becoming an idol. Later that afternoon in Alicepia, Minamo was cheering for Natsu's performance of singing her song For You to Shine until the Jamaocks attacking her and drained her life energy, leaving her incapacitated. Without hesitant, Minamo steps in to protect Natsu from Jamaocks, allowing her to gained her own song fragment and transformed into Princess Ripple.
But she has no idea what has happened and who is "Princess Ripple", which made her difficult in fighting against Jamaock until she was saved by Zeal, who later revealed herself to be her and Natsu's biggest idol Kagari Shirube. After hearing about the Princesses from Kagari and Nabiyu, Minamo promised to keep her identity as a Princess a secret for the sake of her family and friends' safety. Back to the real world, Minamo took Natsu back to her home and put her to rest following Jamaock's attack on Alicepia. Return back home, Minamo became confused on whether she rather continue supporting Natsu in her dreams of becoming an idol or convinced her to give up for the sake of her safety.
The next morning in Alicepia, Minamo tried to warned Natsu not to practice two days in a row out of concern for her safety, but only to encounter a mysterious man named Bess who summoned a Jamaock to absorb Natsu's Musessence to upgrade itself. While carrying Natsu's unconcious body, she was being pursued by Jamaock until Zeal saved her in a nick of time. After hearing about Musessence from Nabiyu and how Zeal is able to fight, Minamo gains her courage to fight back against Jamaock and transformed into Princess Ripple again. Finally, she finished off Jamaock with Ripple Shiny Stream, returning back Natsu's Musessence that Jamaock absorbed from her. After turning back to normal, Minamo learns more about the song fragment and that sun-shaped fragment cannot be given back to Natsu since it was already stolen by Jamaock, allowing her to keep it just in case for emergency. Despite still worried about her safety, Minamo still support Natsu's dreams of becoming an idol one day.
The next morning, Minamo was on her way to school and is greeted by her best friend Natsu, whom she assumed of hearing what she's not supposed to say about her being a Princess before. At school, she was seen following around Kagari and observing her in order to learn more about being a Princess. After school, Minamo tells Kagari of how she always looked up to her and how lucky for her to have skillful and talented parents who were famous.
Later that night, Minamo was called out to Alicepia by Nabiyu that there's a Jamaock attack and joins with Zeal in fighting them. After Guita summoned a Knight-type Jamaock, Ripple struggled in fighting it which she was told to take a rest while Zeal did the fighting. Through her determination and wish of supporting and protecting anyone's dreams including Natsu's, she managed to empower herself through a Musessence she retrieved from Natsu's stolen Musessence from Jamaocks and blocked Knight-type's blade hand, allowing Zeal to finished it off with Zeal Rising Volcano. After turning back to normal, Minamo happily agreed to work together with Kagari as partners since they're Princesses and insists of calling by her first name.
That morning, while watching Nagase Ichijō's video on Alicepia channel, Minamo received a message from Natsu that she's in front of her house, causing her to realize that she'll be late to school if she hasn't prepared. While walking to school, Minamo expressed her admiration towards Nagase due to her rising popularity on Alicepia channel, which Natsu suggests they should meet up with her once they get to school. They later went to Class 1-B where Nagase was sitting, as Natsu attempt to introduce themselves, but Nagase is very brash and belligerent to talk with them, much to Minamo's confusion. However, the bell rings and Minamo and Natsu are in hurry before their class starts. Once the class ends, Minamo is persuaded by Natsu to introduce herself to Nagase and admits how she always idolized her for her videos. Impressed of having herself a biggest fan, Nagase gives her an autograph before she dashes away, leaving it mispelled "shooting" as "shutting".
Later that night, Minamo called Kagari on her phone where they discussed about Nagase Ichijo and she tells her that they'll go to see her concert held in Alicepia along with Natsu. The next morning, while walking home from school with Natsu, Minamo has become excited as she cannot wait to attend Nagase's concert. Back home, she brought six glowsticks for Nagase's concert but only to be contacted by Nabiyu that there's Jamaock appears in Alicepia.
When they arrived in Alicepia, both Minamo and Kagari discovered that Nagase is in blank state due to loss of her Musessence and they transformed into Princesses to fight against the group of Jamaock and defeated them, which brought Nagase's Musessence back to her. However, both were confronted by another of their enemies named Drun before the latter retreats. As Nagase regains her conciousness, Minamo becomes relieved and assured her not to worry because she and Kagari already dealed with Jamaock without revealing their identities as Princesses. After Nagase left to get some rest, she and Kagari became even more cautious of their enemies besides Jamaock and vowed that they'll protect Alicepia together until Natsu arrived quickly and seeing them holding their hands in confusion.
The next morning, Minamo and Kagari were worried about Nagase since she doesn't upload any new videos on Alicepia channel despite they've already defeated the Jamaocks before, so they decide to meet up with her after school and listening to her problems ever since the last incident.
Later in Alicepia, they're still worried about Nagase before they discovered that the Jamaocks are showing up again. When they arrived at the scene and discovered that Aiko's Musessence has been taken away by Drun and the Jamaocks, both Minamo and Kagari transformed into Princesses and fought against the Jamaocks. However, they were eventually beaten up and outmatched by Drun and witnessed the song fragment appears inside Nagase, encouraging her to become a Princess and fight by their side, not caring about the difference between what's real or fake. After Nagase transformed into Princess Meteor, they later witnessed her fighting against Drun and a Jamaock. After Drun retreats away and a Jamaock is defeated, both Minamo and Kagari revealed themselves in front of Nagase and offer to work together as partners. They later attend Nagase's concert where she sings "Jinsei wa Nagareboshi Da ☆彡".
When Jamaocks are terrorizing Alicepia, the trio transformed into Princesses to fought them all. When Meteor is about to unleash her special attack Meteor Asteroid Shower, Ripple tried to stop her but to no avail. After defeating the Jamaocks, she and Kagari were invited by Nagase for their hangout to celebrate their victory.
Back to the real world, she and Kagari were taken to karaoke booth as a part of their hangout. After Nagase finished singing, their drinks were ordered with Minamo chose oolong tea. As Minamo reveals that her mother works at school where she teaches kids how to make sweets, she was told by Nagase that she should upload a bunch of cooking videos on Alicepia channel. After the trio exits the karaoke, Minamo became embarassed when Kagari and Nagase praised her singing skills and later shocked to discover that Nagase already had everything planned for their date. After spending on their date eating desserts, shopping, and visiting aquarium, the trio are pretty much having fun and enjoying it until they're contacted by Nabiyu that the Jamaocks are appearing on Alicepia again. After the trio arrived on Alicepia and transformed into Princesses, Ripple saving Nabiyu from being thrown away by a Jamaock for interfering with their Musessence-hunting and they fought against the group of Jamaocks. When Gita summoned a Bishop-type Jamaock, Ripple attempt to use Nacchi's song fragment to power-up, but it wasn't enough as she dodged all of the energy bullets fired from the Bishop. After they transformed back to normal, Minamo and Kagari became happy with Nagase that they got to spend time together.
