“ | I'm sick of people making decisions for me. This is my fight! | „ |
~ Miorine Rembran |
Miorine Rembran is the deuteragonist of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, the fifteenth mainline installment in Sunrise's long-running Mobile Suit Gundam metaseries.
She is a 16-year-old, second-year student in Asticassia School of Technology's management strategy department. She is also the President of GUND-ARM Inc. and the sole daughter of the Benerit Group's President, Delling Rembran. Unlike other students, she has no house and lives in her father's old office at the school.
In the anime, Miorine is voiced by Lynn in the Japanese version and by Natalie Van Sistine in the English version. Natalie also voiced Yor Forger in SPY x FAMILY.
Appearance[]
Miorine is an attractive young girl with waist-length grey hair, fair pale skin, platinum-colored eyes and has a short stature. She wears a custom Asticassia School of Technology uniform with shorts, black tights, and unique boots.
Personality[]
Initially, Miorine was shown to be a very cynical and abrasive person, seen when headbutted Suletta for inadvertently thwarting her escape attempt. Because of how self-reliant she's had to be, she is also quite prideful and doesn't want or like to receive help from others. When Suletta challenges Guel for her sake, Miorine reacts by stealing Aerial to fight, despite being a terrible pilot. Moreover, Miorine holds rebellious feelings of hatred towards her father, Delling Rembran, for what he's put her through as a horrible father figure. Her insistence on sparing her pride meant she had no friends or connections before meeting Suletta.
Miorine is jaded and mistrusting due to the machinations of the Benerit Group and the circumstances of her engagement, choosing to close herself off and not bother with anyone else's affairs. However, she is not without compassion, as shown when she goes out of her way to save Suletta from being crushed by Guel's reckless actions or when she gave Suletta one of her deceased mother's prized tomatoes.
Furthermore, despite her abrasive behaviour, she doesn't discriminate against Suletta for being a Mercurian or against the Earth House students for being Earthians, allowing her to form some sort of rapport with them despite not being a member herself. She also enjoys gardening and regularly tends to the plants in her greenhouse.
Being academically distinguished, Miorine is an incredibly intelligent polymath of a manager and administrator who can memorize a manual in minutes and turn a company running out of what's practically a garage into a legitimate contender, but she doesn't have a sense of just how cutthroat and cruel the business of war profiteering can be. Miorine studied at the management strategy and displays a cold, analytical mind, excellent leadership qualities and keen business acumen.
However, despite all this, Miorine still has her flaws, most notably her impulsiveness and hypocrisy. She often acts on what she thinks is the most expedient solution for her problems without actually thinking things through properly, and while sometimes it pays off (mostly when it comes to creating GUND-ARM Inc.), it usually leads to no end of grief for both herself and those around her when her impulsive decisions catch up with her. In addition to this, much like her father, she will disregard people's personal feelings and do whatever she feels is right under the assumption that she knows what's best for them. She decides to hire caretakers for her greenhouse and hire Elan #5 as a test pilot for GUND-ARM, Inc. without telling Suletta, causing a huge misunderstanding between them because Suletta thinks Miorine simply no longer needs or wants her around to do those things.
However, Miorine's pride gets crushed and foiled after realizing that she was the cause of Guel's misfortunes and was the cause of everybody's death. In addition, she also falls into a depression when she decides that she can't do something that is so protective. However, Suletta, who returns to her and got her holder title back, confronts her by saying that she isn't the only one who has killed people and declares to her that they should learn to move forward and overcome their suffering. With Suletta's determination, Miorine starts warming up to her when the two become bonded again and now overcomes her depression.
3 years later after the disappearance of Quiet Zero, become the founder and CEO of GUND-Arm, Inc. and now being married to Suletta, Miorine evolves into a kind, warm, honest and happy woman and thus completely ending her days as a cold-hearted, cynical and withdrawn girl though she still remains serious and smart.

Relationships[]
Suletta Mercury[]
Suletta is Miorine's best friend-turned-love interest and later wife.
In the beginning, The two had a rough start when Suletta stops her escaping attempt thus causing Miorine to headbutt her aggressively and even yelling at her for getting in her way. To make matters worse, Miorine becomes flabbergasted when Suletta is now declared as a holder and her fiancée.
While Miorine often gets easily exasperated as every time Suletta does something reckless and ends up doing something idiotically, in episode 11, she admits that her own life has greatly improved after meeting her and thus being her partner for now. However, after thinking that Suletta is a cold-blooded psychopath, Miorine's relationship with her becomes strained when she confronts her about how Suletta's mother Prospera was using her and after Suletta lost the fight against Guel, Miorine takes away her holder title and part ways with her to prevent her from being used.
However, The two would later reconciled when Miorine hears Suletta making a determination about how they should move forward and leave their past behind. With the disappearance of Quiet Zero, Miorine and Suletta are now married and their relationship becomes healthy and brighter.
