Personality[]
Mira R. displays a multifaceted personality structure marked by both high emotional intelligence and strategic social behavior. In unfamiliar environments or with individuals she does not fully trust, she presents as reserved and controlled. However, this reservedness is not passive; it serves as an active observational stance. Mira is notably skilled at guiding conversations in a way that encourages others to speak openly, while she herself reveals minimal personal information.
In familiar or trusted social contexts, her behavior shifts significantly. She becomes talkative, expressive, and highly open. She communicates with noticeable energy and frequently shares detailed insights into her interests, often with enthusiasm and a tendency toward rapid topic-shifting. She demonstrates a broad range of passions and enjoys discussing them in depth. Mira exhibits a high level of self-awareness and adaptability in social dynamics. While generally positive and outwardly friendly, she has also shown manipulative capabilities when necessary, particularly in complex interpersonal or strategic situations. Her communication style can alternate between direct analysis and playful openness, depending on her assessment of the interaction. While she tends to prefer mentally stimulating activities over physical ones, Mira is not inactive. Her energy is typically directed toward tasks she finds meaningful, and she is capable of sustained effort when internally motivated. Periods of lower physical engagement are balanced by intense focus during moments of inspiration or challenge.

J.A. Mira R. is German with hispanic roots, approximately 160 cm tall and weighs 57,8 kg. She is 14 years old and her physique is average, with slight retention of youthful fullness, giving her a naturally soft appearance. She has a round face with blue-grey eyes with hints of yellow around the iris center, thin eyebrows (including a visible eyebrow cut on the right side), and a small upturned nose. Origin[]
Background Entry - Junior Asset Mira R. - Behavioral Observation Program (BOP) Access Level: Restricted (Clearance Level 3)
Summary:
Mira R. was first brought to the attention of Foundation personnel at the age of 10, after an off-record psychological evaluation conducted by an embedded informant flagged her cognitive pattern recognition and emotional analysis capabilities as “borderline anomalous.” Raised in a civilian environment with no known paracognitive influences, Mira displayed natural proficiency in reading micro-expressions, nonverbal behavior, and complex emotional states with over 85% accuracy in controlled testing environments.
Recruitment (Initial Phase):
Following months of covert observation, Mira was invited into the Foundation’s Junior Behavioral Observation Program (BOP), under the mentorship of Dr. Evelyn Mahn. Unlike standard trainees, Mira was permitted limited interaction with low-risk humanoid SCPs under supervision, showing an immediate affinity for calm verbal de-escalation and intuitive psychological dissection.
Early Development:
Within her first year, Mira developed basic field algorithms for mapping emotional triggers in non-human entities, and her behavioral notes were cited in at least three revised containment procedures. Her psychological models were notably used in drafting counter-narratives for memetic exposure scenarios. Despite her age, Mira was granted provisional access to Level 2 materials under controlled circumstances.
Status:
Currently considered a high-value junior asset under protective observation. Multiple senior staff have recommended accelerated promotion into specialized cognitohazard departments pending age and clearance eligibility.
Backstory[]
Mira R. was born in Germany and lived primarily with her mother after her parents separated when she was three years old. Her father, who exhibited narcissistic and problematic behavior, was allowed visitation every other Saturday. He often pressured Mira to stay overnight at his home to spend more time with him and frequently attempted to turn her against her mother. Mira quickly recognized these manipulative tactics from an early age and additionally, her father used financial leverage to exert control, as her mother had limited resources.
Throughout her childhood, Mira faced significant social challenges. From a young age, she had to mature rapidly due to unstable family circumstances. During primary school, she experienced repeated betrayal, exploitation, and loss of close friendships, which left her largely isolated. As a result, she began to rely on her strong intuition and observational skills to analyze and understand people, developing an acute sense of human behavior well beyond her years.
Mira also struggled with severe emotional difficulties, including suicidal thoughts and a near attempt. However, meeting her best friend Pia became a turning point, providing crucial support and connection during those times.
Professionals noticed Mira’s exceptional ability to read and interpret human behavior, which led her mother to introduce her to online psychology forums. These interactions brought her to the attention of the SCP Foundation, where she was accepted as a Junior Asset within the Behavioral Observation Program (BOP). Despite her young age and lack of formal training, Mira’s natural aptitude for understanding others was recognized as a valuable asset.
Relationship with SCP-049[]
When Mira R. joined the SCP Foundation as a Junior Asset at the age of 10 in March 2021, she initially knew SCP-049 only through reports, but it wasn’t until October that she began conducting direct interviews with him. Her approach was strictly professional and rational, focused on gathering psychological insights about SCP-049’s cure for the plague, and unlike many others, she maintained calm neutrality, as this was simply the most logical way to engage with such a complex and unpredictable subject. At first, SCP-049 showed no interest in her beyond his usual distant and indifferent attitude, and although the interviews were neutral, they proved slightly more informative due to Mira’s focused, understanding approach.
Over time, however, Mira developed feelings for SCP-049, which manifested subtly through dilated pupils, an increased heart rate, and a heightened self-awareness about her appearance; she often found herself asking other researchers if she looked presentable and made conscious efforts to discuss topics that interested him in hopes of sparking some form of reciprocal interest, despite his continued emotional reserve. SCP-049 quickly noticed her feelings but initially dismissed them as mere admiration typical of a fangirl, showing no visible reaction, yet gradually he realized that Mira’s affection was genuine and deeply personal rather than simply professional. Around the time Mira was eleven, SCP-049 began to share the tragic details of his past — the loss of his wife Mirabélle and daughter Arabella to the plague, which marked a turning point, shifting their relationship from cold professionalism to a more personal and trusting connection.
As their bond grew stronger, Mira gradually opened up about her own life and experiences, revealing more of herself than she had with anyone else at the Foundation, which in turn deepened their friendship and fostered a rare sense of trust between them. By the time she was nearly twelve, Mira openly acknowledged her feelings for SCP-049, even sharing her love with some of the other researchers, which brought a new, more relaxed dynamic to their interactions. SCP-049 cared for Mira deeply and expressed affection in his own reserved way, but he was always clear that he did not share any romantic feelings, instead regarding her more like a daughter or a close companion. Despite this lack of romantic reciprocity, he gradually revealed sides of himself that were usually hidden from others—moments of vulnerability, dry humor, and even playful sarcasm—which allowed their relationship to become more open and personal without altering the fundamental nature of who he was or how he viewed her. Throughout the years, their connection only grew more profound as they confided in each other freely and endured occasional disagreements, but those moments of conflict never weakened their bond; rather, they survived and became stronger through every challenge, evolving into a steadfast friendship that was as complex as it was sincere.
When Mira turned 14, stricter observation protocols were introduced because she was now legally allowed to engage in certain romantic behaviors. Although SCP-049 repeatedly assured the researchers that he had no romantic feelings for Mira and saw her only as a daughter and close friend, these rules remained in place. Mira was unhappy about the restrictions and often asked the researchers to remove them, but her requests were always denied.
Currently, SCP-049 and Mira share a very open relationship. They regularly talk about a wide range of topics, maintaining a genuine and honest connection. Despite this openness, Mira stays focused on her mission to psychologically analyze SCP-049 and uncover information about his cure for the plague.
