“ | It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor. Would you be mine? Could you be mine? It's a neighborly day in this beautywood, a neighborly day for a beauty. Would you be mine? Could you be mine? I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you. I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you, so let's make the most of this beautiful day. Since we're together, we might as well say, Would you be mine? Could you be mine? Won't you be my neighbor? Won't you please? Won't you please? Please, won't you be my neighbor? |

~ Mister Rogers' opening song |
Fred McFeely Rogers, known on television as Mister Rogers, is one of the most famous heroes in Western media.
Portrayed by the late Fred Rogers, Mister Rogers is the main character of the children's TV show Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. In the show, Mister Rogers talks directly to the children in the audience, teaching them valuable life lessons and entertaining them with stories of his adventures in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, a magical dimension that he accesses with a magical train named Trolley. Trolley acts as a nexus between our dimension and the Neighborhood of Make-Believe.
Mister Rogers is famous for being kind, noble, generous, friendly, cheerful, peaceful and gentle. He has a strong moral code, a vast amount of wisdom and emotional intelligence, and above all, a loving heart.
Mister Rogers is known far and wide in popular culture as one of the best examples of a hero who is pure of heart, to the point that everyone holds him in awe and respect, and insulting him or mocking him is seen as an unforgivable offense.
