Mistmane is a unicorn heroine from Crystal Empire who appears in My Little Pony G1 series as a member of Pillars of Old Equestria.
She is played by Ellen-Ray Hennessy.
She is said to be a very talented sorceress because of her magic and beauty of her at the Crystal Empire. Sable Spirit was jealous of her beauty and in the school of magic, during Mistmane's absence, she tried to make herself beautiful, but her spell turned against her and it became horrible.
When Mistmane returned, she discovered that her entire village was ruled by Sable Spirit having made everyone look as hideous as she was. Mistmane challenged Sable Spirit and defeated her and sacrificed her beauty to give her and all of her villagers their original appearance, so that Sable becomes a better pony and governs him in the right way.
