“ | I know, mate. But it's like we said back in the old lot. You can only take on what they put in front of ya. You ain't any less of a Grinder just 'cause we ain't had to use your skill set yet. Bang! There's just not been that much this last year that was gonna be difficult to contain. It's either been dead easy to deal with, or… the other. | „ |

Mobile Task Force Theta-90, codenamed "Angle Grinders", is a protagonistic group in the SCP Foundation series. It is a mobile task force serving the Foundation, specialized in operating in locations with anomalous topologies and geometries, and is tasked with securing anomalies connected with these spacetime distortions.
History[]
Background[]
Mobile Task Force Theta-90 was formed out of necessity for a team, similar to MTF Zeta-9, that could explore locations plagued with changing topologies or geometries, drastically changing the dimensions, curves and angles. In charge of this MTF was Paul Dimaccio, who was recruited shortly after graduating from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and quickly rose to the position of the MTF's command, and would train and guide his troops for missions. Through time the MTF would be joined by numerous operatives, the most notable being: specialist and eventual lieutenant Jane Weiss, generalist agent Zimo Feng, medic Treasure Aluko, tactical specialist Roberto Hernandez, specialist Alexandrinia Zheng, and captain instructor and former commander Jason Smithson. All these individuals were recruited from different backgrounds with useful experiences, becoming important and influential members of the MTF. SCP-085 would also occasionally help the MTF when they dealt with two-dimensional anomalies.
Missions[]
During the time Dimaccio was a field agent researcher, one operative of the MTF became infested with SCP-1707, a colony of worm-like creatures that replaced the skin of their hosts with their mass, gaining the designation of SCP-1707-5. Dimaccio became the project lead of SCP-1707, overlooking the infested hosts, and remaining by SCP-1707-5's side. Dimaccio interviewed SCP-1707-5 for some time, but their relationship soured when the infested agent demanded to know when he will be freed of SCP-1707, even though this would result in his immediate death. Eventually Dimaccio transferred out, leaving SCP-1707-5 to be entirely consumed in the ensuing years.
When the Keystone Technical Institute in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania became affected by an anomalous phenomenon, designated SCP-4104, that transformed its interior along with the laws of geometry and topology into a pocket dimension filled with optical illusions existing in real life, Theta-90's Tactical Team, comprised of Weiss, Feng, Aluko, Hernandez, Zheng and Smithson, was sent to investigate it. During the exploration, the team came across another team sent by the Global Occult Coalition which mistook the MTF members as enemies, probably instances of SCP-4104-B. The GOC attacked the MTF, forcing the latter to counterattack, though Smithson's left leg was greatly injuried, causing him to start loosing blood. Aluko managed to stop the bleeding and eventually the other MTF operatives managed to show the GOC that they weren't enemies. Following this incident, Smithson retired from mission deployment, opting to instead become an instructor for the new recruits, while Zheng transfered out to the research department, and later on was followed by Aluko. Other members of Theta-90 would be tasked to go to schools affected by SCP-4104 to prevent the anomaly's core from erasing the entire structure, while also going after SCP-4104-B instances which were the schools' former students that had been brainwashed into worshiping SCP-4104.
On March 20th of 2018, after Dr. Txai Petropoulos sealed the chamber containing an object affected by SCP-2601, a phenomenon that through objects causes any affected subject to be completely forgotten before being erased from reality, in order to stop the Foundation from sacrificing D-Class personnel to it, the O5 Council devised a plan to reopen the chamber and resume the "testing" to prevent a unknown classified disaster. As part of the plan, Theta-90's Tactical Lead Reynolds provided a list of SCPs that could help retrieve the affected object.
On September 29th of 2019, when Dr. Zavalosa put a glass Klein bottle model labeled as hazardous inside SCP-914 on the "Fine" setting, it produced a model existing in the Theta Prime dimension space and when touched by a D-Class it dematerialized which caused all documents nearby to be inscribed with SCP-033. MTF Theta-90 was called to isolate and dispose of all the affected papers and electronics.
On Thanksgiving Day, several members of Theta-90 were sent on a mission involving a Class 2 spatial anomaly. Upon encountering the anomaly, one of the operatives, Agent J., was sucked into it for thirty minutes before being ejected along with a decorative plastic cornucopia. It was later revealed that the agent gained the power to produce any type of edible healthy food out of his body when he was presented to a human. Because of this, he was immediately contained and designated SCP-3307.
Following the discovery of SCP-4037, a group of seven metallic wristbands that telepathically connected the wearers minds, two agents of the MTF with the help of a researcher got hold of two of the wristbands and upon wearing them began training with their fellow operatives. Communicating with each other mentally, the two agent had a better performance than the others, and although they showed the anomaly's usefulness they and the researcher were disciplined for interacting with the anomaly without proper authorization. This led to the higher ups to consider the idea of allowing the MTFs to utilize SCP-4037 during missions, with the two Theta-90 agents requesting to use the anomaly again, but after the incident involving D-8145, this suggestion appeared to have been abandoned.
As time went on, Dimaccio began feeling tired over maintaining the entirety of the MTF with barely any free time. Eventually, Weiss, at the suggestion of her friends and teammates, went to Dimaccio to convince him to leave the MTF and transfer somewhere else. Dimaccio tried to argue that he was needed and feared that without him Theta-90 would fall apart and be forgotten, but Weiss argued back by telling him that the MTF could still function with a new commander and it was time for him to move on. Dimaccio begrudgingly agreed and decided to transfer to Zheng's research group, but not before chosing his replacement.
Possible Endings[]
SCP-4096[]
Following the discovery of SCP-4096, a sentient complex topological manifold that when activated by a person switched the properties of known dichotomies in its vicinity, a investigatory team accidentally activated it which caused the concepts of "up" and "down" to switch. MTF Theta-90 was sent to fix it by activating SCP-4096 again, but before the operatives could reach it the anomaly reactivated by itself. After SCP-4096 switched the concepts of "contained" and "uncontained", along with encompassing the entire Foundation, the MTF presumably resigned along with the majority of the personnel, except for the O5 Council which was left trapped.
Nature[]
The Mobile Task Force Theta-90 was one of the smaller MTFs tasked with operating in locations with and securing anomalies from changing or abnormal geometries and topologies. This MTF included several Tac Teams, the most notable being Tac Team 10 which was made up of Jane Weiss, Zimo Feng, Treasure Aluko, Roberto Hernandez, Alexandrinia Zheng and Jason Smithson. Weiss originally served as a senior specialist in the Tac Team before replacing Smithson as team commander; Feng served as an agent and technical specialist; Aluko served as the team's professional medic; Hernandez served as a trooper and tactical specialist; Zheng like Weiss served as senior specialist; and Smithson served as the team's commander before leaving the spot to become an instructor for the Anomalous Geometry Training Center.
All these members were recruited through different means and from various backgrounds. All of them had experiences and skills that were required to work in the MTF, such as skills in topology, exploration and military among others. Once recruited members were to go through Dr. Alto Clef's Mobile Task Force Basic School just like the rest of training operatives. After finishing the school, members would only join specific MTFs in which they best fitted, which included Theta-90. As part of Theta-90, operatives would constantly train at Site-19's Anomalous Geometry Training Center, nicknamed "Escherville", which was comprised of a couple of facilities whose interiors changed in order to prepare the operatives for future missions.

Trivia[]
- MTF Theta-90 is one of the few Mobile Task Forces thus far to have a page tag for articles featuring them, the others being MTFs Tau-5 and Alpha-9. Theta-90, unlike the majority of other MTFs, also has its own hub page, the only other MTF to have a hub of its articles being Psi-7.
- In "The Character Assassination Of Site-666 By The Cowards MTF Theta-90", Theta-90 was invited for the Halloween party in Site-666, but found that all of the site's personnel were replaced by infernal clones from Undervegas. The MTF with the help of the site director Randall House was able to banish the clones and return things to normal.
