Molly Mabray is the titular main protagonist of the PBS Kids show Molly of Denali. She is voiced by Sovereign Bill.
Overview
Molly is a curious kid with an adventurous spirit which goes hand in hand with her love of helping others and sharing what she learns through her vlog. Molly loves animals (especially puffins), playing basketball with her friends, and helping her parents run the Denali Trading Post.
Personality
Molly is compassionate and sensitive to the feelings of others. Likewise, she loves her family and her dog, Suki, and would do anything to help them whenever it is possible. Molly is enthusiastic and spontaneous, as she likes to explore on an adventure. Although Molly means well, she can do rather careless things when helping others sometimes. Nonetheless, Molly is a respected and hard-working member of the Qyah community.
Appearance
Molly has olive skin, brown hair and black irises. Molly usually wears a red sweatshirt with light pink frills, blue jeans, and purple sneakers.
Trivia
- Molly is Gwich’in/Koyukon/Dena’ina Athabascan.
- Molly’s native name is "Shahnyaa", which means "one who informs us".
- Previously, Molly was the only member of her family (or in general for the show) who did not have a native name until at the end of "Name Game" where Aunt Merna gave it to her.
