Momo is a major protagonist of the 2024 Netflix adventure fantasy series Avatar: The Last Airbender, based on the Nickelodeon 2005-2008 animated series of the same name. He is a flying lemur and a member of Team Avatar.
He was voiced by Matt Yang King.

Background[]
Momo was one of the last Flying Lemurs who lived alone in the South Air Temple.
Warriors[]
A winged lemur first appeared when he snuck inside Katara's bag to look for food until he was spotted by the Team Avatar. While the Team Avatar are setting off for the Kyoshi Island, he joins them in their journey and Aang named him Momo. The next morning, Momo went to stole Sokka's dumpling sticks while the Team Avatar are having a breakfast. When Zhao and the Fire Nation went to attack the Kyoshi Village, Momo joins the fight with Sokka and the others. After the Team Avatar leaves the Kyoshi Island, Momo flies up straight to Sokka's head, much to his annoyance.
Omashu[]
Momo joins with the Team Avatar in their journey to Omashu.
Spirited Away[]
When Team Avatar were at the burned forest caused by the Fire Nation, Momo brought a chestnut to Katara in order to cheer up Aang who looks devastated of watching it. Later that night, he and Appa were forced to stay behind with Katara and Sokka while Aang went to the Crescent Island to talk to Roku.
Masks[]
Momo and Appa are seen watching Aang returns back to the forest after he escaped from being held captive by Zhao from the Pohuai Stronghold with the help of the Blue Spirit.
The North[]
During the Team Avatar's staying at the Northern Water Tribe, Momo discovers the Fire Nation's arrival.
Legends[]
During the Siege of the North, Momo saved a little girl from being crushed by the Fire Nation's falling debris after he pushed her out of the way. Alarmed, Sokka and Yue take Momo to the Spirit Oasis, where he is healed by the Ocean Spirit after being bathed in the Oasis' waters.
Personality[]
Momo is playful, cute, and adorable flying lemur who Aang and Team Avatar adopted after finding him in the now abandoned South Air Temple. As the last of his kind, Momo is lonely and enjoys hid time with Team Avatar. He also has a rivalry with Sokka, such as Momo stealing Sokka's snacks when team Avatar is on Kyoshi Island or landing on top of Sokka's head. However, Momo and Sokka do care about each other because Sokka hugs Momo, relieved that he is alright.

- Momo's appearance in the Netflix series is much closer to his cartoon counterpart's design than his appearance in the 2010 film, The Last Airbender.
