Momo Nishimiya is a supporting character in the anime and manga series Jujutsu Kaisen. She is a jujutsu sorcerer and a third-year student attending Kyoto Jujutsu High.

She is voiced by Rie Kugimiya in Japanese and by Tara Sands in English.

Appearance[]

She is a late-teen blonde girl with her hair usually tied in two long pigtails with black hair ties rising upward. Despite her age, Momo has a very childlike look. She has blue eyes. She wears two studs at her left ear and a cat collar around her neck. The rest of her attire is a dark witch robe along with a pair of black pointe shoes. She also carries her witch broom with her all the time as the weapon she uses in battle.

Personality[]

Momo can be usually a very carefree girl but gets easily irritated once she gets treated because of her child-like appearance. Like her classmates, she immediately agreed with the fact that Yuji Itadori needed to be executed. She can also be quite arrogant when she challenged Nobara Kugisaki during the Kyoto Goodwill Event.

Relationships[]

Mai Zenin and Kasumi Miwa: As girls, Momo easily gets along with her female classmates in contrast to her male comrades. She holds the strong belief that females do not receive the deserved respect in the jujutsu society. Like the rest of her class, she easily felt immense hatred to whoever killed Kokichi Muta and swore to avenge him for Miwa as she and her comrades hear her sorrowful cry during the Shibuya Incident.

Powers and Abilities[]

As noted by Panda, she is estimated to be as powerful as somewhere between a semi-grade 2 sorcerer. Although, she is not as powerful when working alone, thus, she is often seen cooperating with her classmates during battles, such as instructing her allies by taking advantage of her flight from her broom and observing fall above in certain situations. This can be seen during the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons and the Shibuya Incident.

Momo demonstrates ample expertise and resilience to stand her ground individually while thriving in a supportive capacity. She fearlessly challenged Nobara to a confrontation, strategically evading the first-year's assaults. Despite the constraints imposed by the Goodwill Event, Momo skillfully restrained herself, utilizing bursts of cursed energy wind to maintain a safe distance from Nobara.

Tool Manipulation: Momo and her broom are actually telepathically connected to each other, allowing her to control the object at will, such as flying like a witch while she is on it and even unleashing impactful squall of heavy wind that also carries some level of cursed energy. However, it was not strong enough to even land a single bit of impact on Uraume, as he fended it off easily bare-handed.

Momo seem to hold some degree of interest to the real life actor Sebastian Stan, who is also the second real person to be mentioned in the series, alongside Jennifer Lawrence, who is mentioned by Yuji.
- Amazingly, the actor himself even reacted to that brief scene in the anime, which surprised him.
