Mont Blanc is a posthumous character from the science fiction manga and anime series, Pluto by Naoki Urasawa. He was a benevolent towering robot who worked as a mountain guardian and joined as a member of the peace-making force during the 39th Central Asian War in which he brought back peace and arrested a large number of terrorists. He was however killed at the start of the series during a destructive forest fire where his remains were found among the flames. He also had a talent for getting along with birds while he worked as a poet.

Appearance[]

Mont Blanc was a towering bulky robot of cream color. Its head featured a seemingly smiling expression with green pupils, and a long nose that runs down to the back of his head which continues with dinosaur-like features. He wore blue overalls for attire.

Biography[]

Numerous firefighters tried to put an end to the wildfire that occurred with struggle. Two of the firefighters discover a large area with trees removed. Professor Reinhart, the creator of Mont Blanc, screams and tries to rush to find Mont Blanc but is stopped by the firefighters who try to stop him as the scene is too dangerous to go. In the middle of the area, the head of Mont Blanc can be seen placed on top of a small hill with two sticks placed beside it. Gesicht, a robot detective and a special investigator of Europol, visits the giant monument of Mont Blanc alongside Professor Reinhart and listens to the memorial speech in memory of Mont Blanc's heroic acts. Among the numerous people who attended his funerals was a man whom he saved from an avalanche. The robot has also requested for his remains to be recycled instead of constructing a statue of him as he believes that it will only ruin the Alps.
