Monte Gazlowe is one of the main protagonists within The Horde in Warcraft. Originally a high ranking member of the Steamwheedle Cartel, Gazlowe was in charge of running the town of Ratchet in The Barrens, where the cartel's neutrality in the ongoing conflicts made them countless riches as they equally offered their services to both The Horde and The Alliance. Despite this, Gazlowe always had strong ties to The Horde and never hesitated to assist them. After Jastor Gallywix betrayed The Horde and left the Bilgewater Cartel leaderless, Thrall himself offered Gazlowe the position, becoming its new Trade Prince and in turn one of the main leaders of The Horde, representing the Goblins in the Horde Council. He has since become Gallywix's archnemesis.

Personality[]
Gazlowe is somewhat unique among the Goblins of Azeroth in that he genuinely wishes to make the world a better place not just for Goblins, but everyone. He leads his people justly and with kindness, and does his best to do best by them, making him a rare example of a genuinely benevolent Goblin leader. That being said, he is still a Goblin, and as such has a great love for explosive tinkering and making money. While under his leadership the Bilgewater Cartel has for the most part turned away from their criminal enterprises, he still allows some to carry on provided they're not directly harming anyone or causing too much trouble. He also possesses deep insight and wisdom, as he's been known to reflect on the nature of his kind and understands that Goblin nature as a whole is intertwined with crime and chaos, two things he himself can still happily enjoy so long as it does not descend into outright villainy.
