Moonracer is a female Autobot sniper from the Transformers universe. She is often depicted as the youngest of the female Autobots and sometimes referred to as the "bubbly little sister". Despite her cheerful demeanor, she is a capable warrior and a skilled marksman, even being hailed as the best in the galaxy by some. She also is a member of the female Autobots who fought alongside Elita-One on Cybertron.

she first appeared in G1, Moonracer has also appeared in other Transformers continuities, including the Aligned continuity family as a Wrecker sniper.

History[]

Cartoon[]

Moonracer appeared in The Search for Alpha Trion along with Firestar and Chromia, participating in a raid on one of Shockwave's energon supply stores. During the raid, she accidentally triggers an alarm, causing her to get trapped but ultimately freeing her to escape with the help of Chromia. Her misstep allowed the Decepticons to track the female Autobots to their hiding place, leading to Elita One's capture.

The female Autobots met up with the group of male Autobots from Earth who had come looking for their commander, where Moonracer met up with her old friend Powerglide. When Shockwave nearly caused Moonracer and several others to fall to their deaths, Optimus Prime and Elita One made a timely arrival and chased off the Decepticons.

Aligned Continuity[]

In the Aligned continuity family, Moonracer was a Wrecker sniper who fought alongside the Wreckers to protect the Well of Primus and other key Cybertronian sites. She was also blacklisted by Cybertron's High Council for being a loyal supporter of Optimus Prime after the war.

War for Cybertron Trilogy[]

Moonracer is one of the few female Autobots featured in the 2020 Transformers: War for Cybertron: Siege cartoon, and her design and model is a teal recolor of Chromia. She is part of the team that accompanies Optimus Prime on the mission to find the Allspark. She gets swarmed and dismembered by zombies bots during the events of the series in this adaptation.

She was voiced by Ellie Main.

Transformers One[]

Moonracer is one of many cogless Cybertronians who appears as a miner. She joins Orion Pax's alliance against Sentinel Prime's regime after discovering the truth of his betrayal, and becomes one of the first members of the new Autobot alliance.

Trivia[]

  • Her appearance in the Netflix series was a nod to the 1985 cartoon episode "The Search for Alpha Trion," which introduced female Transformers.
