Mousse (ムース, Mūsu?) is a recurring character in Ranma ½. He is a Chinese Amazon and one of the rivals of Ranma Saotome due his engag with Shampoo. He is also one of the many characters that felt in one of Jusenkyo's spring. In his case, in the duck spring.
He was voiced by Toshihiko Seki in Japanese and Brad Swaile in English.
Biography[]
Mousse challenged Ranma to a fight when he learned that was engaged with Shampoo, since Mousse is in love with her. Ranma using her abilities and other tricks (since in that moment she was trapped in her female form) defeated Mousse sucessfully. Then Mousse went to Jusenkyo to train but he fell in the duck spring, causing him to turn into a duck every time that he gets wet with cold water. Mousse goes back to Furinkan taking some of the water of that spring, trying to curse Ranma too, but his plan failed. Mousse still tried to defeat Ranma in several ocasions but he always failed, Mousse also doesn't realize that Ranma didn't wanted to be engaged with Shampoo since he is not interesed on her.
Despite his antagonistic role, Mousse still has some times when he joins the heroes, mainly to find a way to undo his curse and to protect Shampoo. However, he failed his this goal along the other characters since at the end all the Jusenkyo springs were buried and the last water of the Man Spring was drunk by Happosai.
Powers and abilities[]
Mousse is a master martial artist, since he born and trained in Joketsuzoku. He also uses magic tricks to fight, although this is not his serious way to fight. Unlike other cursed characters, Mousse is capable to fight in his duck form, hiding knifes in his wings and throwing them to his enemies. His weakpoint is his myopia. Since when he takes out his glasses he is uncapable to distinguish people or objects.
