~ Mr. Mackey's most famous catchphrase. |
Mr. Mackey, Jr. is a major character in the adult animated sitcom South Park. He is the counselor at South Park Elementary, best known for saying "m'kay" at the end of most of his sentences. He also serves on the City Council as head of Public Health. His first name is unknown.
Appearance[]
Mackey has a unusually large head, which is caused by the tightness of his tie. He wears a green long-sleeved shirt, a blue tie, dark blue pants, and blue leather shoes, as well as black-rimmed glasses.
Personality[]
Despite his slightly odd appearance and catchphrase, Mr. Mackey seems to be an able counselor who actually cares about the children, much unlike Mr. Garrison. He sometimes appears with Principal Victoria when punishinga student or announcing an important message. His methods as a counselor reflect real-life controversy ineducation, for example, when Kyle talks about seeing Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo, he places Kyle on a heavydose prescription of Prozac. In an early episode, the children feign having Attention Deficit Disorder, and heprescribes them all Ritalin.
