Mr. Potato Head is a character in the Toy Story franchise, Potato Head Kids, and The Mr. Potato Head Show.
He is a potato-shaped toy, his patented design allows him to separate his detachable parts from his body by removing them from the holes on his body. He also has a compartment on his lower back to store extra appendages. He is the only toy shown to be capable of retaining control over his parts even if they are several centimeters/inches away from his main body, most likely because his toy is designed to be taken apart, unlike many other types of toys. For example, he can still see if his detachable eyes are removed, as well as being able to move his hands if they are detached.
In the Toy Story films, Potato Head was a supporting character of the original Toy Story, a major character in Toy Story 2, one of the main characters of Toy Story 3, and a supporting character in Toy Story 4, Toy Story Toons, and the TV specials Toy Story of Terror and Toy Story That Time Forgot.
In the Toy Story franchise, he is voiced by the late Don Rickles. In The Mr. Potato Head Show, he was voiced by Kevin Carlson. In Potato Head Kids, he was voiced by the late Kenneth Mars.
