Mr. Soil is the head of the ant colony in A Bug's Life.
He was voiced by the late Roddy McDowall (who also portrayed Cricket Crocket in the Cricket on the Hearth, Caesar in the Planet of the Apes franchise and Samwise Gamgee in Rankin/Bass' The Return of the King), which was Roddy's last role before his death in 3rd October, 1998, before the film's release.

A Bug's Life[]
He helps ants in trouble and dislikes Flik's antics. He is later seen during Flik's exile along with Atta and the Queen and putting him into trouble. After Flik saves the colony from Hopper, he later welcomes back Flik into his colony.
